Call it luck or whatever you want but when a player is playing with the self belief the he has, the player seems to have the ability to try things and make them happen. Long may it continue

    Vs Hearts

Thought this would have ended in a draw but by all accounts we were outstanding today. Well done the lads

    Vs Hearts

Would take a draw from this game and keep the six point gap.
  4. OK, you're right that this is valid to this thread but I think the society is more about guaranteeing there being a Motherwell fc to support and how it will be structured and ran in the future.
  5. Like Andy I'd assumed you were looking at the steelmen package and wondered what you thought you were getting If you're serious (and I've no reason to doubt you) I'd like to think that - if it's within the rules or they can accomidate it - the club will reply asking what you would like done with the tickets
  6. +1. Lets try keeping this thread on topic.
  7. Team is Randolph, Hateley, Clancy, Hutchinson, Hammell, Law, Jennings, Lasley, Murphy, Ojamaa, Higdon

Great news and good work by the club to move quickly on this
  9. Glad that he's staying until the end of the season at least. With a bit of luck we should get a better offer than £250000.
  10. I know there is already a thread concerning the well society but given todays apparent attempts to sell players and the following two posts on the in/outs thread, I thought I'd start a new thread – Mods please feel free to merge this if you wish. "The Society simply has to work, we need to make it work cos frankly we have no other option. There are no buyers out there as already said, certainly none to be trusted, so it's up to us and no-one else. Do we want to effectively own our club or not? I'll struggle but I'll find the money to do my bit in keeping the club out of the hands of some fly by night in the future, if there are any out there." "A know it's off on a tangent, but does anyone know how many have signed up to the Well society so far? Someone on FPC said it was 100 afew days ago, which is a wee bit worrying." Both of these statements are 100% correct from what I've heard. My understanding of things is that if the society fails to reach its target the club will indeed be put up for sale. It's my belief that todays attempts to move players on were made in an attempt to give the society time to work I understand that by the end of march at the latest, they need to get either approx £300000 in the bank or have enough people signed up and paying that amount by instalments to cover the running of the club. Failure to do so will result in the board having to look for a buyer and remember whatever the sale price is, the money will go to JB - as was agreed when he gifted the shares to Motherwell to give the idea of a society run club the chance to work. At the end of last season JB could have washed his hands of the club, put it up for sale and taken any offer he fancied. Instead he gave us this chance to turn the club into something unique. I for one never wish to see collection buckets to stave off adminstration outside Fir Park again and although I've not yet signed up I will have done so before the end of Febuary. I'd urge everyone to think long and hard about whether they can afford it and if so, what kind of a future they want to see for the club – time is running out. We don't have 5 months - nevermind 5 years – to make a decision, it must be made now and as motherwell's supporters it is us and those who follow us that will have to live with the outcome of our decisions.
  11. would it not be a better idea to stick to the main issue and not get side tracked? The real target here should be the SFA and it's rules regarding retrospective disiplinary action - not what someone wrote in a tweet.
  12. rangers team: McGregor; Bartley, Goian, Bocanegra, Papac; Aluko, Davis, Edu, Wallace; Healy, Lafferty.

Randolph get my vote, no chance with the goal but kept us in the game with some great saves.
  14. Obviously the reporter hasn't read this forum "There will always be people who try to tell you that you can't achieve something" - Obviously Andrew Wilson has
  15. Echoed my thoughts as I read Bert's post but I'm sure others won't see it that way.
  16. 8 points - 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats.
  17. reading this thread has got me wondering what is the meaning of life
  18. maybe their thinking is instead of being accused of "picking" on him, leading to the great unwashed idolising him more, best to ignore the wee fecker as he won't be around much longer!
  19. I missed the game today because of work but I put the radio on when stopped for a tea break just at half time and the first thing I heard was them talking about Higdon giving Majstorovic a hard time and Humphry giving his marker problems and stopping him from going forward - were they right? Anyway off now to watch the recorded game to make up my own mind.
  20. From my understanding of things, intitally the society will only have a couple of members on the board with the rest being made up of the present members.
  21. Although I wouldn't like to see him leave, I realise that we are a selling club and that if the price is right then he's off but if the price is £600,000 then I will have to reconsider buying into the well society. Lesser player have been sold for more and we should not allow players to be sold off cheap. Losing Randolph could be the difference between 3rd and 6th place and the loss of European football next season. What would that cost the club? a couple of hundred thousand? It would be like selling him for £400,000 in the summer! As I've said, if this turns out to be the level of ambition of the current board then I'll not be putting my money anywhere that helps them achieve that - If I'm going to put money in, I want to know we have a board who can match my ambitions for the club! £600,000 - FUCK OFF!
  22. If we sign him and by the trasfer window we're looking good for at least a top six place, then I think it would be possible to also get a striker - either a signing or a loan deal. This should give us enough cover though to the end of the season and allow SMcC to rest players.
