Good ideas but a couple of problems that could make them unworkable, firstly anybody involved with taking the kids to FP would have to be cleared by disclosure scotland which costs about £20 per person. the cost of childcare even for a couple of hours would be a hell of a lot more than £3 per kid. Anyone looking after them would have to be a registered nursery nurse and their is a ratio of around 5 or 6 kids per carer so the club would have to know in advance how many kids were expected so that they could arrange for the correct amount of staff. Also I'm sure that any playroom would have to meet local authority standards and as such would cost a fair whack to set up Maybe if they set up one of the spare areas as a full time nursery and rented it out with the provision that the person renting it provides staff on a Sat. then it could work.

I heard that they have raised the money by using the rangers model of not paying their taxes.

I like the steelmen forever logo and think that if some t-shirts were made up with a small logo on it (say limited edition 1500?) we could sell them through the club shop and add an extra £5to £10 to the cost as a way of raising extra funds. I think that folk would happily pay over the odds for a decent quality top with the logo. edit: if they make them claret, once they are sold out they could then release another set in amber and if all sold a third in white. Some folk might buy either one, two or even all three. Also it might be an idea to TM the logo and when its put on an item £5 or £10 could be added to the price which then goes directly to the fund. Folk would then know that buying something with the logo on means profits are going to the fund.

Straight Question(S) To The Board Of Mfc Re. Sfl Proposal
stuwell replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
They won't be counting the votes. They stated that the ballot would be independently varified so I'd like to think that someone else is doing the counting. -
It is totally unbelievable that such a document could have ever been produced nevermind even published! for the life of me I don't understand this - was such a hamfisted thing put out in the knowledge it would be thrown out? is it an attempt to be able to say to SKY that they tried to get rangers into the 1st div? - surly the aurthors didn't think this would be taken seriously - one look at fans forums beforehand should have been enough to have this piece of bogroll binned!

Was asked this on Thursday by a non football fan who's a bit confused (and bored) by all the carry on over rangers and I've yet to come up with a decent answer, Why is it that if a club cheats as rangers did or try to bribe the ref/opponents, then it's wrong and everyone demands justice in the name of sporting integrity but if a player cheats on the park then it's only the fans of the effected club who demand justice. So why is it ok to cheat on the park? For example, if a motherwell player dives to win a penalty which gets us through to the next round of the CL we would all be celebrating and would love the guy for it but if a club official was found to have bribed the ref we would be scandalised by his actions, both tried to gain an unfair advantage so what is the difference?

Phil O'Donnell returned to us with a horrendous injury record which he'd overcame. Although I'm not comparing him to anyone else we look at, I'm only pointing out that as we know, players can go through periods of continual injury and then return to a good level of fitness and be relatively injury free. edit: just seen a similar discussion on Faddy thread.

A good mate of mine at work was telling me today that he's cancelled his rangers season ticket's for him and the kids next season as he doesn't think there will be a rangers next season and he refuses to give money to Green until something get's sorted. He was talking about what the hell he was going to do on a sat. and I said he could come with me to FP anytime ( I even joked about starting a supporters bus) and to my suprise he said he'd happily come along. He then started talking about getting some of the other 'well and rangers fans at the work together and organising a couple of day's out to FP. By the end of the shift him and another couple of rangers fans had talked to fans from St. Mirren, Kilmarnock and St Johnstone about organising "a couple of wee days oot" at their grounds as well if rangers don't get admitted to the 3rd div. Although I don't think every rangers fan will be thinking the same, I'm sure that these guy's are not the only one's who will look to get their football fix elsewhere should rangers no longer exist.

Celtic failed to get past the 1st round a few years back, if we spend and then fail its admin and a 21point loss - the gambles too much.
-
Apparently we don't need another striker - can he play in midfield instead
-
sorry weesacs but that is the worst idea I've heard in a while - how long would it be before celtic (and the other half when they return) start demanding a larger share of the cash or all of their supporters money, much like when they got split gates stopped. If folk want do do something extra next season, why not this, everyone has a mate or a friend who supports another non OF team, so why not arrange to go to a game and have a few pints with them when the'well are away. With them then coming to a motherwell game. That way both of you do your bit to help out and you get two piss up's with your mate.

Although I can understand folk view that the board has weighed the document heavily in favour of a yes vote but I think that they have put forward the worse case senario so the if thing go bad they cannot be accused of mis-informing anyone - I've no doubt that if thing go tit's up then some folk who vote will still look to blame someone else. We have less that 800 members of the society who will make this choice but I hope that whatever the outcome, we will have thousands of 'well fans willing to stand fully behind their choice and support the club financially because both a yes or no vote will have a negative financial effect on our club.

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
stuwell replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
Read it in the actual paper at work. Will look when I get on a laptop - using a phone at the mo -
Sorry guys but buying a season ticket allows people to watch X football matches, buying into the well society allows people to have a say on matters regarding the running and direction of the club. If ST holders can vote on issues, what's the point of the society?

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco

Well Well, I read yesterday -in the mail I think- that king said he was sorry to both scottish football and rangers fans for the mess that had been made. Was not a bad article and worth reading. -
Good point Lobby, never thought about that but I'd like to think you are correct.

No but you could always go there and lay a wreath from us

Was thinking 80-20 or 85-15, would be worth around £250K to bottom 6 and £500K to top other 5 and would hamstring celtic a bit. -
Thought he would have got an offer from better teams. Best of luck to him for the future. TBH he only stayed last season because of the betting thing or he'd have been off last season. Pity he didn't get a better team, it could have persuaded others to come up for a couple of seasons.

Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco

Since the Celtic supporters ass. agree that integrity should be put before money, I hope they would also be happy with a return to some sort of split gate arrangement to help out us 'wee' teams that will lose out. -
Straight Question To The Board Of Mfc Re. Rangers Newco
stuwell replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
I've been thinking about this guy since I read his comments yesterday and the more I read the more I'm wondering what his motives were? According to the club he is a director but has had no dealing with the club for a few years. According to a poster on here he was appointed by JB and was/is an associate of his. Is it possible that the guy is not speaking his mind but is infact stating what JB might be saying privatly? - stranger thing have happened.
