  1. I'm back from my hols on the 14th so I'll be there
  2. could mean the opposite as it states "United boss Simon Grayson has indicated Mike is free to pursue a career elsewhere"
  3. Although I think the guy has great potential, I'm starting to get a but worried that this is now his 3rd manager at motherwell and he's not been able to prove himself worthy of a regular start. This makes me wonder if his attitude in training is a problem or do we just not play the style of game that suits him? Whatever the reason, next season is going to be crutial for him as at 22 he needs regular 1st team football if he's to progress as a player.
  4. when I lived in Bristol in the mid '90s, a couple of rangers fans I drank with offered to get me on the Portsmouth RFC supporters bus - picked up early sat. and returned sun. - anytime i wanted to go up for a motherwell game but the thought of a 10 hours trip each way listening to them singing was just too much. ps sorry for going off topic.
  5. If DC wasn't wanted down at Bristol, with only 1 season left on his contract I'd look to get him on loan with the view to making it a perm move come christmas. Wages aside I don't think we'd have to pay to much.
  6. From what I understand, Clarkson has managed to push his way back into contention at BC so I don't think we'll see him next season which is unfortunate as I think that he would fit perfect into the midfield position where folk are talking about Hughes.
  7. "Michael passed a medical and signed his contract this morning but will only be registered a Motherwell player when the Transfer Window re-opens next Thursday, 9th June 2011." Oh dear, knowing our luck something will f*ck up between now and thursday! Kidding aside, welcome aboard Michael.
  8. Great news indeed! Signed until 2014 - well done to Shaun, SMcC & MFC Having just read his comments on the MFC webpage, I'm sure his praise of SMcC, the squad and MFC will help sway potential signings.
  9. Kind of know what you mean Melv, I think its the fact that instead of spouting off in the papers about the amount of contacts he has and the type of players he's going to get in, SMcC appears to be quietly going about his business leaving the papers -and a few on here - to speculate on who he's trying to bring in. Obviously we won't know how sucessful this approach is until the transfer window closes but i think we'll see some (hopefully) good signings and possibly a loan deal over the next three weeks and a further couple of loans as the window closes.
  10. Theres been nowt on their fans forum about him.
  11. nothing against u steelman but I fuckin hate that saying - appears to be the latest "hip" saying and seems to get used by everyone on tv and my arsehole of a boss! wee rant over - feeling better now
  12. Jeffers was a good player for us and I'd have been happy if he'd stayed - best of luck to him. As for Jenning, this would be great news for us but giving our recent history with the shaggers, I'd rather nothing was said until a contract was signed.
  13. Theres something quite sad about that - would it no be as exhilarating to shout "get into these f*ckin' bastards"? or have I just misunderstood your f****n word?
  14. 100% agree, Jeffers won't get us loads of goals but he'd set up plenty for a quick minded agile stiker.
  15. Just a wee thought to cheer you all up but thats one c*nt of a daily drive he's got from Glasgow to Edinburgh through rush hour traffic even if he doesn't leave 'til 9.
  16. You must have arrived, looked at the stand and the amount of sheets to be folded and thought f*ck we're going to be here all night!
  17. Lee McCulloch and Andy Devlin - nae doubt someone will want them added to the list now.
  18. A lot of folk got a great wee souvenir of the day if they kept the card. So if you did and haven't already done so, please help the guys out by making a small donation to cover the costs. Also if the club have covered the extra cost it'll be motherwell who are out of pocket and the next time they might not be so willing to help. Go on, if you can afford it, gie a wee bit o cash
  19. too true Orinoco, players come and players go - we can only hope that the next guy is as good or better.
  20. OK if I've understood you correct then what people will be "buying" is a vote rather than a share of the club.
  21. I've only seen Hollis the once so not the best way to judge the guy but i thought he looked a good keeper and on that performance I'd have though motherwell would have liked to keep him on for when a decent offer comes in for Randolf.
  22. For discussion, It will be interesting to see what price they put on the shares, too dear and a lot of people will be put off buying but if they are too cheap then the club wont get much long term value, which could see more shares having to be issued in a few years time to keep the club going. The big question is what is the current value of these shares and what would we be willing to pay? Here’s a quick idea of what would be raised at the following prices, £10 - £2M £15 - £3M £20 - £4M £25 - £5M £30 - £6M £35 - £7M £40 - £8M £45 - £9M £50 - 10M With the size of our fan base, I don’t think that all the shares will be sold at the one time. I think that half will be sold first with the others being held in trust and sold in small lots - ie as birthday/christmas presents - or until we need the money. Remembering that anyone buying these shares wouldn’t be buying them as an investment, personally I’d go for at least £50 – with the money raised not all being spent - and have the option to either pay up front or by direct debit over, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 years depending on how many you’re buying i.e. if you buy 10 shares the cost would be either £500 up front or £41.67 per month for 1 year (say £45 to cover costs) - maybe even say £23 per month over 2 years. 100 shares could be either £5000 up front or £45 per month over 5 years. I’d also like to see a max. number of shares an individual or family group could buy to keep ownership of the club as broad as possible.

I’m all for a democratically ran club but lets make sure we spend our time deciding what’s best for Motherwell Football Club and not arguing over shit like this! If we’re going to start making petty lists like this then god help our future!
