  1. Hibs announed today that they have already sold over 11,000 season tickets for new season. Assuming an average price of £400 that equates to more than £4.5M. We just can't compete with that.
  2. Given the size of re-build job and bearing in mind it will take time for players to settle in I'd be happy if we managed to finish safely in the top 8.
  3. Oh no? Remember its Motherwell.
  4. We are not running an old crocks home so McManus, Hammell, Lasley, McFadden and Lasley, in the parlance of the US President, need to be terminated. Great club servants sure but no room for any sentiment when the club are on a tight budget. Robinson only needs one assistant manager and he should be allowed to decide who that is and not have 'Well old boys forced on them.
  5. I think Robinson feels the likes of Hammell and McManus may be better off with more off field roles as they certainly don't contribute as much as they used to on it, but a lot of that will determine what kind of players we recruit this summer. If we are seriously strapped in the playing budget then we should not be considering adding ex-players to the wage bill in the coaching department.
  6. Time for a couple of small glasses of the aptly named amber nectar to celebrate - Jura Superstition. Lovely.
  7. I'm with you on that one Gilmour. I think some fans have neen on his back for no good reason. Personally I think he has been one of our best players since the split and was one of the few that showed some fight against Dundee and Ross County. Needs to be given more games in his proper position. He is a potential match winner when on song as he seemed to be tonight.
  8. Petsonally I thought along with Moult he's been our best forward over last 4 games.
  9. Sounds like real nerve jangling stuff. We always do things the hard way.
  10. Absolutely massive result for us in a real pressure game for the players. Performance didn't matter only getting the win. Not pretty to watch but for once the team battled and stood their ground and gave the fans (what a great support by the way) something to cheer. First Saturday in yonks that we've gone home happy. Well done guys. Now just beat Killie on Tuesday and we should be safe.
  11. Still not too late to go for Lee McCulloch for next season. Only interim manager at Killie but has shown that he knows what he's doing in that short time.
  12. I never ever thought I'd see the day that Hamilton Accies would be in a position to relegate us. Oh the shame!
  13. Even if, as looks likely, we are playing in the Championship next season, I certainly wouldn't want Robinson in charge. Far better to cut our losss with him and get somebody in fairly quickly - can't be too hard as we already interviewed quite a number when McGhee departed.
  14. That's all well and good but that won't stop us sinking into the Championship.
  15. Do we have an option to get rid of him at the end of the season? Or does he have a longer term deal? I thought he was only going to be given until the end of the season and then the club would re-assess things.
  16. Whether we stay up or go down, of those on first team duty today the only ones I'd retain would be: Russell Griffiths, Carl McHugh and Chris Cadden. The rest need to be shown the door.
