  1. Could there have been an element of sarcastic clapping? As our defenders backed off and backed off our fans knew what DT would do, but the defenders seemingly didn't.
  2. I wouldn't put it quite so bluntly, but yes you're right. In the full backs' defence they have no cover in front of them. McGinley is, for some reason, a target for the boo brigade but O'Donnell is the one making mistakes and costing us the odd goal. He was badly at fault for Celtic's first and left Kelly totally exposed.
  3. Joe Hart did not have a single save to make. Goss, at least, had 2 more attempts on goal than anyone else did.
  4. Well, that was as poor a performance against Celtic at FP as I've seen for a long time. We looked a beaten side at 3.00. The only positives were that its good to play so badly and only lose 2-0; no bad injuries; and no red cards. A dire all round team performance.
  5. That could have been a red card. Carded then kicks the ball away petulantly.
  6. 2-0 flatters us but yes that was a stonewall penalty.
  7. Sadly very typical of recent years' game against Celtic. We took the field looking very scared of them and have given them far too much respect. Celtic have been light years ahead of us in terms of attitude and work rate.
  8. Well, we should should know all about Turnbull's skills so why give him so much time and space? Game well and truly over. No red cards or injuries please, anything else is a bonus.
  9. At last ..............an effort on goal!
  10. As expected, we are giving Celtic far too much time and space on the wings.
  11. Yes, defensively they are far superior to us and are working far harder.
  12. Barring crosses, we haven't had one effort on goal so far.
  13. Its clear we are lacking an out and out striker up front.
  14. Thats Ralston's 3rd foul on Woolery already.
  15. A bit harsh and judgemental. I always like Scotland to do well, but I'm not an international fan. That doesn't mean I'm not interested in football per se. You could equally say that to be a football fan you have to have a wider interest in lower league football, but that would be equally wrong and unfair. Each to their own I say.
  16. Pretty much my view too. I used to attend Scotland games in my youth but lost interest many years ago as I saw how the system worked ie treatment of players like our own Joe Wark, and the actions of the SFA. I'm a Well fan end of. Comparison of Spiderpig and others like us to the religious bigots is out of order.
  17. As would Bowman's blatant elbow on Boyd which led to one of United's goals.
  18. The foul statistics will also reflect how streetwise a team is. "experience" in BBC speak. As for John Clark's 1991 challenge on Ally Maxwell.......I've always believed it to be a cast iron foul. My reasoning is that as he jumped he swivelled around to face away from Ally and protect himself from the inevitable collision.
  19. Absolutely. I can only surmise that things went badly wrong.
  20. BBC reports "Nathan Patterson shows why he has started ahead of Stephen O'Donnell as he bursts down the wing and his cut-back finds Che Adams,"
  21. Yes I would have thought that they would have inducted Stevenson and Ferrier together. Next, I'd like to see Hughie Ferguson included and also some members of our league championship winning team.
  22. Just watched replays of the 2 goals we lost. The first one was a definite penalty although Boyce was guilty of simulation. As others have said, Kelly was badly at fault. However there was also other examples of poor defending in the lead up. The Hearts midfielder who passed to Boyce was given far too much time and space to pick his pass. No-one closed him down. Also, Mugabi totally lost Boyce and remained static whilst Boyce ran through. As always no single player to blame but a series of defensive errors.
