This has always been something that really confuses me about certain football fans. For anyone who gives any of our players dogs abuse, do you honestly believe it'll make him play better or improve the situation? I'd be interested to know if you actually think that such behaviour benefits the team? I can understand getting frustrated when a player isn't having the best of games, I've been there myself in the past, but I simply don't understand why anyone would verbally abuse someone who's playing for their team.

Yeah, I was the same, but the picture quality was excellent as far as I'm concerned.

Christ, if they're a mediocre outfit what does that say about us? We were beaten by the better team from what I saw, plain & simple. We didn't get hammered like Hibs did, and we certainly didn't disgrace ourselves. I think some of our fans could do with an extended period of no European football at all, maybe give them a bit of a reality check. It feels as though European football is considered a bit of an entitlement these days by some, and the knives come out when we lose to clubs who have resources that leave ours in the dust.

Glad to see that McCall is looking to replace some of the pace we've lost during the summer. Regardless of what some may say, I think the club have done very well during the window this summer. When it became clear we were going to be losing players during the summer I'd have been more than happy if you had told me we'd be going into a new season with this squad.

Not sure if it comes under "minded", but I like to see whichever one of them is currently on top and most smug losing. For example, I get more of a chuckle out of seeing Celtic & Lennon lose to St Mirren in the cup than I do Rangers losing to anyone in the 3rd division. Not a major issue though, unless Celtic are playing someone who is competing with us for a league place or something.

Unless McCall was given at least half of that cash to spend on new recruitments of course. I doubt he would be though.

In a strange way Hateley will be a perfect fit for Rangers, as there's always been something unlikable about him. I'm not sure what it is, but he's just easy to dislike. The one thing he has been for us is consistent.

That's true, but how many managers has he worked under at Celtic? None of them saw fit ( ) to give him a good run in the 1st team for a reason. I don't think all of them were blind to his abilities, were they? There must be a reason why he didn't get a crack?

If stories of his personal life vices of smoking & drinking are true then no amount of games would have made any difference. I simply don't see him as someone we should be looking to take a gamble on. He won't come cheap, and that money could be used strengthening elsewhere in the squad.

I don't think he was far wrong to be honest. McCourt has shown little bits of skill in flashes for Celtic, but he's nowhere near good enough to claim a regular place in any top SPL side. He's only afforded his cult status among the Celtic support because of his nationality and religion.
