  1. ^The police tannoys fine. Its the main tannoy which is the problem. *That was in response to Gdalli10
  2. To be honest I dont see the club making any profit (unless theres some insurance in place for abandoned games). Police, catering, security etc all have to be paid for again. If there is insurance in place so that the club dont lose out, then really it shouldnt matter if we had 4000 or 14000 fans getting in free to the rearranged game.
  3. If you think theres no room at St Mirrens ground then you are too used to the facilities in America. I have no love for the Midden or their shitey/shiney stadium, but it certainly has more leg room than the rest of the competition
  4. Youv been away too long. We can level many things at st mirren& all the other new grounds, but lack of leg room & general space, is not one of them!
  5. Were they? I honestly never heard an announcement saying season ticket holders should not pick one up. Maybe I wasn't listening, or maybe the tannoy was just shite when that part went out, but the only thing I remember hearing was all spectators should collect a match abandoned voucher at the exit
  6. Need to remember to build rivers of pish into the design!
  7. If your not after making money out of it, then its probably wise to at least consider making it an online thing rather than binning it altogether. No printers costs, minimal web hosting. I suppose the only issue with it being online is the content. In this day and age there is always someone who will go out their way to be offended by something. Putting it online opens the gateways for the Blue and Green idiots to find it, drum up some outrage and pass it on to Keevins and co. Personally, at £1 I don't have a problem with buying it. Most of its a good read. Im quite surprised the sales are down, although I suppose with dwindling gates, the potential market is dropping as well. You could always jump into the 21st century, give it a spacebook page and twitter feed. Fans can link to it, their mates will see it, word will spread and you can more effectively market the next issue.
  8. Old firm games aside, hasnt he created a good few goals this season?
  9. I actually thought Ojamma was one of our better players in the 2nd half lastnight
  10. He came from the Rangers area& he looked like he was running at one of our boys
  11. So the manager at the top of the league is a ****? Fucksake, give yersels a shake
  12. While your stats are probably correct, goals are not everything. How many of higgys goals have been created by Ojamma for instance?
  13. A whole lot of over reaction in this thread. If that was the most gutless Motherwell performance youv ever seen, then you havent been to many games. Christ, given the amount of ibrox humpings iv watched us get over the years, that one almost felt half decent! Facts are we were outdone by 2 silly mistakes and our inability to shoot. People are saying McCall didnt have us up for it? You obviously missed Randolph going nuclear at the 2nd goal or Hutchy getting stitches over and over rather than just asking to be subbed. I also thought that Ojamma put in a good shift in the 2nd half. Thats not to say that some of our players didnt have a bad game. Humphrey was abysmal& Cummins as much as he has done well since his introduction, could be doing with another year spent as backup. Time to get ramsden back in or give page his chance. As others have said, Hately needs to be back at RB. Its a pain in the arse to get beat and we will all get a slagging at work, uni, college, school, pub etc off our currant bun pals. But wev all been dishing it out to them all summer so its time to suck it up. We are still top of the SPL and its a diddy cup anyway! PS - The smoke bomb was stinking but i loved it anyway, would have been top drawer had we taken the lead and set that thing off!
  14. So if we get put out the diddy cup by a team with 4times our wage bill, you will turn on the manager despite the fact we will still be top of the spl, got 3rd last season & a cup final the year before?? Glad we dont claim like celtic to be the greatest fans in the world!
  15. Nothing wrong with the statement IMO.
  16. For probably the first time ever, certainly the first time since wee Tam's tenure, man for man we are as strong or better than Rangers in every area of the park. On paper we should wipe the floor with them, but saying that, on paper any team with a wage bill dwarfing the opposition should be expecting a crushing victory over us! I hope we win, infact, I would Kevin Keegan style love it if we pissed all over them in their own back yard. I don't think it will be as easy as that however. The fans, and players are going to be 100% up for this one. They will know that they can't expect to turn up and scud us as they expect the div3 teams. Whilst I'll be dissapointed if we lose, unlike some of the reactionaries on here it won't be the end of the world. The one thing that will really annoy me is if we don't set out to take the game to this mob. They are there for the beating and every team so far has set up to get stuck into them. We are far better than any team they have faced so far so lets show them. I really want McCall to let the team off the leish this time, none of the play it safe mentality here. If we get beat by really going at them then so be it, but give us the chance to have a right good crack at them!
  17. As much as skippy turned out to be a badge kissing wee c**t, he did a great turn for both teams
  18. Im quite a few pints to the wind & haven't done my maths but im pretty sure your talking shite!
  19. I would expect he see's they have not sold many tickets, he wants to maximise ticket sales so he's trying to say Motherwell are not the bad guys and we are in it together with them and shouldn't be subjected to a boycott. Fuck him!
  20. ^ My mate sent me the link 5 mins ago..... CHARLES GREEN has insisted that Motherwell will be warmly welcomed to Ibrox next week because he believes they were pressured into voting against Rangers getting back into the SPL. The Fir Park men – who lead the Premier League right now – come to Ibrox on Wednesday in the third round of the Scottish Communities League Cup. It will be Rangers’ first meeting with an SPL side since the summer vote to exclude them from the top flight was cast. However, although Motherwell were one of the teams to vote “no” Green says he believes they were cajoled into the decision. Speaking exclusively to RangersTV he said: “We have seen and heard lots of hypotheses on radio, in newspapers and on TV and we understand fans’ feelings “But what fans have to understand is what occurred at Hampden over our SPL status when 10 clubs voted against and one abstained. “Ally and I sat there and we know what happened. We know that only half of those clubs wanted Rangers out of that league. “I believe that a number of the clubs were bounced into it. “Why, for example, would Ross County spend all their life-time trying to get into the Premier League to find Rangers were not there? It’s inconceivable. “But we understand what happened and we know the reasons behind it. We understand we have to suffer the punishment for the sins of the fore-fathers and we have done that. “What we have to understand is not everyone in that room wanted Rangers out of that league and I know –because I could glints in eyes – which ones were happy and which ones were not. “We recognise what happened and when some of these clubs come to Ibrox they will be welcome. When others come, they won’t be so welcome. “We know that Rangers are bigger than all of this so we ask the fans to get behind the club as they have done so well. “I want them out there at the Motherwell game cheering, singing and waving the flags. “Motherwell are a club who are suffering financially because Rangers are not in the SPL and we don’t believe that Motherwell are anti-Rangers. “We believe that there was pressure; they were under pressure from their own fans and they took a decision and we understand that. “If you had taken all of these external pressures away then Motherwell and other clubs would have voted differently.” http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/2235-well-are-welcome
  21. You know, when you think about it, having as many out of contract players may turn out to be a master stroke by the club. We all know that the TV deal seems to be settled for this season, although the money has not come through yet. There are stories out there about X amount being available in the future if Rangers get back in, and Y amount if they are still stuck playing low level stuff. If reorganisation does not happen, and if it turns out that TV deals really are under threat without the great unwashed, having half the team out of contract will not be the worst thing in the world. Sure, we won't be able to get value for them, but we also won't be left with £28k of wages per week when we only get x% of that in the door. TV deals are all scare stories, and so far the shit has not hit the fan. Long may it continue. A softly softly approach however may see us through.
  22. Agree with this! Until the SPL 11 sort out the distribution of tv money, there is a massive pot available for finishing second. If the clubs don't look to rail road Celtic, and there is a chance we could nab that second spot, then there is no sense in selling the crown jewels in January for knock down prices.
  23. He's knocked Aberdeen back twice this summer but its not stopping them trying again
