  1. I would think it's more that he is moving back near his home rather than that was the only option. Not that I would have retained him - but just saying.
  2. With you on that. Good to have some speculation though!
  3. He is always the first one I see to be fair. Can't see any other sources reporting Kennedy before he did on a quick glance.
  4. Deal agreed with Kieran Kennedy allegedly
  5. Anyone know if we are still planning a friendly here in Scotland on Tuesday 21st? Or, are those announced (14th, 18th, 24th) it for before the season?
  6. Marv and Hammell just a bit sore/tight from the training sessions. Nothing to worry about according to the manager.
  7. Some of this talk is nuts. Really depends what Faddy wants to do. I doubt he wants to be an ambassador doing the hospitality at the age of 32! I think he is done at SPFL level due to fitness issues. But, if he would take a drop down the leagues, he could continue playing. If not, and he does want to get in to coaching then, doing his time at us, without a huge wage would be fine. Yeah, sign him on as a player too if it does not cost more. But he wouldn't be more than a back up back up. Lives locally, maybe the latter would suit him.
  8. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/players/first-team/ Edited and, I assume, showing who is being treated as 1st team and who an U20. By that, Cadden/Watt/Ferg all U20. So we still have 3/4 to potentially come in. Goalie/Midfielder/Attacker.
  9. Football Manager description of a forward behind the striker who floats about, creates and does what he wants basically.
  10. They are belters. Love the retro-ish collars. Shame the sponsor logo on the home is across the sash but does not take too much away. Good effort!
  11. Lasley had a huge period of ineffective and poor play last season. But, we had no one better to come in. We do need to start planning for a replacement very soon. Maybe Pearson is that guy with someone else coming in to do the attacking stuff.
  12. Flow on Twitter saying kit launch tomorrow. Edit: I see someone posted that already. Nothing to see here.
  13. He is, aye. Missed him out for no reason other than a shit memory.
  14. Moult signed. 3 yrs. So, squad currently looks like Twardzik Reid, Law, Watt, Ferguson, McManus, Laing, Chalmers, Hammell Ainsworth, Cadden, Lasley, Pearson, Johnson, Thomas Clarkson, Moult, Fletcher, Moore Depends if Bara is treating Ferguson, Watt and Cadden as first teamers. But, I would think we would be looking at 2 more, 3 max and they need to be a goalie and midfield cover for me. Another centre half and striker would be nice though too.
  15. Wes is 9 anyway, but not fussed - don't know either of them other than YouTube.
  16. Having a gander through Foster's twitter feed. Seems he already knows Brett Long, Ben Hall and few of the other U20s and was on holiday with them. So, more likely he has been on trial and is joining up to go into that squad perhaps rather than 1st team.
  17. Best of luck to Carsy. I did like him for what he did well (energy, covering, tackles) but he never really kicked on this season to become a more complete player nor improved any and Bara must not have fancied him much. I did think we may give him another year to be honest. He will do St Mirren a job but not too fussed if we ever faced him. Much like I felt with McLean and Saunders.
  18. Nope, I don't like it either. Maybe because I wasn't around in the 70s so have no real connection to it. Just looks a bit cheap to me.
  19. Hahaha. Here we go - we sign a young, unknown but promising striker and within a few mins a snidey comment or two... Hopefully a hidden gem like Marvin. I think he will be. Straker was a short term/emergency signing so I do think we will make that mistake too often.
  20. Maybe not made up yet. I bought mine 4/5 weeks ago.
  21. Wes Fletcher signed, our number 9 is here.
  22. I got well confused there with the Ladies team chat. Thought we were still talking about Clarky. From a footballing sense, a team of 20 or so players should provide enough competition, 2 players in each position is what the manager said which seems right. Back that up with the youth team challenging when space and I think it's a good mix. From a budget sense, we could never carry a squad long term the size we had post January. A squad of 20 first teamers seems right for a club our size.
