  1. Not to go off topic but I would still rather we had Law than McFadden. Faddy has been garbage this year for St J and, much as I love him, would have been a waste of a wage.
  2. No quotes, so take it for what you will, but the article went on to say Erwin is focussing on keeping us up for now rather than himself. To me, that says he is waiting to decide at the end of the season.
  3. Daily Express - Erwin offered a 3 year deal.
  4. I still don't think making a goalkeeper change at this stage is the right thing to do. It will unsettle the team more than settle it I think. Stats aside there is not much between them at all. Out of interest - what sites do you use for stats? (Serious question - not a dig)
  5. I don't think there is much, if anything, between Long and Twardzik. Certainly not enough to disrupt things by dropping Long. Erwin and Sutton does not work as far as I have seen so its one of them and Skippy for me.
  6. I heard, from someone who knows his dad, that he suffers from real anxiety/nervousness problems. Maybe why he hasn't been given a run. I do think he did well when he came in though to be fair.
  7. I think you are right but I would prefer him over Kerr. Completely forgot about OB - is he still suspended/injured or something?
  8. Agree with both points there. Hammell has 3 U20 games under his belt so I expect him to come in. Pearo and Johnson didn't look fit to me to be honest hopefully will be. I hear Laing is out for the rest of the season too so a decision to be made. Thomas looked to be limping at the end also so that is a worry. I'd go Long Law Ramsden McM Hammy Las Ainsworth Pearo Johnson Skippy Sutton I want to drop Long, Lasley and Ainsworth but we have no better replacements in my opinion. Erwin needs a rest and as long as we don't just play long ball to Sutton then he can do some sort of 60/70 shift.
  9. Like a lot have said - he has done a solid enough job. But, I don't think he has been good enough enough of the time for the level we should be playing at. Hard one though - let him and go and end up with someone worse or sign him up and then maybe not have budget for someone else.
  10. Daily Express - Law offered a contract by Colchester. He is also in discussions with us.
  11. Its not just loud - its ear drum bursting shite, mate. Most of the time. Your free to do what you want clearly so I have been moving for a while.
  12. It wasn't a generalisation of the folk being talked about. I was up the back of that section and know exactly the group as I seen them with my own eyes. Fat. Shaved head. Tattoos. Embarrassing.
  13. That's just not even true. There were many Man of the Match performances in that game. He wasn't MoM by a mile at all I think we can still win this game. If we make the same chances we did on Friday and finish a couple then its a different story. However, we need our experienced players to take it by the scruff of the neck, lead and and pull the rest of the team along...McManus, Lasley, Pearo, McDonald didn't show up the other night. For Lasley and McManus thats not the first time this season they have went into their shells either. Team - I'd make a couple of changes. Wholesale changes isnt the answer at this time but we must be tactically correct. Hammell to come back in as he is surely fit now given he will have 2/3 U20 games under his belt. Also would drop Erwin and give Sutton a start. Law, as much as he has been good at right back has been posted missing a quite a few times and is on a shoogly peg. Wouldn't change anything else as I don't think the bench as anything better to offer other than maybe Thomas for one of the wingers.
  14. Haha. I definitely agree. Its a heart ruling over the head situation! I have some winnings in my account and in profit so invested a little....
  15. Motherwell over 2/1 in most places tomorrow. 6/1 with -1 handicap. ...I am tempted...
  16. Got a couple of tickets earlier as well. Mon the well. The manager making it sound like Hammell is not a definite to be in the squad tomorrow. Either mind games or not being risked as some have said as I would think having played 2 x 90 min games already and unbroken training he should be good to go. Vigurs and Lawson still out.
  17. Good listen this week - delayed flight this morning made much easier. Really comes across how passionate Twaddle is about the club.
  18. Very true. Not saying we keep Lawson at all - that maybe got lost in the conversation. Just making the argument there is a good player in there and injuries aside he could have been right good for us. I don't know who I would keep - all depends on who we can get in. That even includes the likes of Kerr and ZFA who I am not fans of. But no point in letting go if we can't get another player in/or have a youth who is as good.
  19. A good summation of the situation. Fingers crossed the week off will have done the boys good, cleared up the niggles and set them up mentally for 5 battles.
  20. Lawson played in the right position with the right team could be a quality player for us. Much like Sutton if we build the team around and for him...a lot of the time he is ineffective Much like Vigurs if we build the team around and for him...a lot of the time he is ineffective Just two other examples of players that cab be effective in the right format but can also equally be so so ineffective a lot of the time.
  21. It's all a bit silly this chat because it all depends on who we can get in...the 'there must be someone better out there' stuff is a silly way of thinking. Equally, wanting to keep someone just because they have been good in the past for us is also not the right approach in every instance. Would I bin Sutton and Ainsworth if I knew we could get someone better in? Aye. Would I bin Sutton and Ainsworth if I couldn't get someone better in? No. Apply that to everyone out of contract.
