I was ok with him not resigning so I'm not really fussed where he ended up. I found him more frustrating than not last season. Constantly moaning in less than constructive ways, missing crucial passes more, touch going, and losing the ball more than he used to. He did still contribute to the team very well at times and scored 11 odd goals for us and I do realise the importance of that though. However, at 34 this August, without another preseason, the fact he wanted to walk in January when we still needed him I'm content he's away. Signing for a Championship team tells a lot also I think.

According to the BBC, Newell was on loan for the first half of the season only and played 11 times for Fylde. So it looks like he did get a game then went back to the U23 team played and scored...as far as I can see...at least 5 goals for the U23 team

Semple looked good when I watched him play for the Scotland team. But he's literally just turned 16 and still looks like a boy. Sure he will breakthrough but not for at least another year.

Yep I know we are stating he's signed for the under 20s. But at age 20 you would think that he maybe isn't that far from the finished article for some first team action. A year to prove it I guess.
