  1. I think Skippy will be gone. Moult, yeah - but will that bid be forthcoming? 3 goals since the start of the year has taken the shine of a decent first half to the season with 11 goals and the goals against Celtic and Rangers. I'd wager that unless he bangs in a few important goals in the run in to get nearer 20 then that bid might not materialise to a level for us to want to sell him.
  2. Its hard to know who should be let go/moved on/renewed etc. as the old "there must be someone out there better" isn't always true for a budget like ours. However, for me we really need to be looking at the below...my thoughts anyway...assuming we keep those contracted to 2018 or 2019. Contract up this year: Skippy - Renew if possible for 1 more year. Ainsworth - Release. Does not feature enough or offer enough any more when he does. Lasley - Release. Done. Samson - Release. Shit. Faddy - Release. Done Chalmers - Release. Shit Pearson - Unsure. Hasn't overly impressed Kennedy - Release. Squad player not playing at all. Lucas - Release. Injury prone. Ferguson - Release. Not good enough in my opinion. Griffiths - Goes back on loan Jules - Goes back on loan MacLean - Renew. Contracted until 2018: McManus - We need to be looking ahead to replacing McManus but I think he'll be starting next year. Heneghan McHugh Hammell - Can only be back up only. Clay - Back up only in my eyes. Thomas Moult Bowman Blyth Contracted until 2019: Tait McMillan Cadden Frear
  3. I am not Samson fan . But is the back up any better? Not from what I hear. Let's not turn it into another 'he must be better' Luke Watt scenario. Or a drop McManus 'he must be better scenario'. Or a drop Tait 'hr must be....You get the jist.
  4. First goal offside? I'm out the country but getting dripfed some info via me old man.
  5. I haven't read that someone said he was in full control of the football side. But it was quoted that he had full control of the first team playing budget specifically.
  6. Someone said pages back that the chairman Jim McMahon isn't in the best of health and is/was in hospital. Makes sense to involve Weir as a. experienced head in that case.
  7. He's shite at golf as well. I've won before I meet him every time. Haha.
  8. For what it's worth....you decide...the Coyle and Hughes story source has been verified by a boy I know who is a sub for the Daily Record.
  9. Indeed. Are people trying to say we were going to appoint Robinson all along but invited interviewees in to cover that up? Behave. A decison made and the chairman and board thought he was the best AVAILABLE candidate.
  10. Perspective. The key word there and something a lot of people need on here. As for the underwhelmed camp...I'm not seeing a lot of alternative realistic suggestions other than Simo....is Simo the new 'but he must be better than what we have!' for this period aye?
  11. The other interviews must not have impressed or accepted what was on offer?
  12. That Hamilton game was unreal. Still in shock they had 20 shots and over 20 corners!
  13. Happy with Robinson but surprised we didn't just do it till the end of the season. Has my support.
  14. Lindsay is 22 in October. Jules just turned 20 in February. Maybe thinking longer term perhaps EDIT: Lindsay is too old to qualify for the 2019 qualification campaign. 22 in October. No point in putting him in for a bounce game if he cant play come September.
  15. I don't think I've got a feeling one way or another for John Hughes. I'll need to remedy that.
  16. Nothing. I've just been trolled - haha. As you were.
  17. That's it announced. Pleased with that.
  18. Dunno if they would just spill the beans to be fair!
  19. 6 weeks from the injury I think was the diagnosis . Start of April?
  20. As some others have said it's a difficult job to find a manager in March who can both satisfy the requirement to firm us up defensively and keep us up. Then also be the man we want for the future build of the team. There will be more managers available, or prepared to leave clubs at the end of the season in May. So, for me, if no 100% ideal candidate I would prefer we go with Robinson until season end then move fairly quickly to appoint a long term manager. Unless, for example, there is an outstanding candidate ready to come in and do a 3 month shift for us. If we do go with Robinson full perm manager I would be surprised as he is inexperienced and basically unproven. If he keeps us up however I wouldn't be surprised to see him given the gig.
