  1. I know a guy in the police. This was deemed a high risk game due to the last time we met, the pitch incursion and the few confrontations around the stadium that happened. Thats why there was a larger presence. But why they decided to hem anyone in seems a bit silly.
  2. I am inclined to agree. Not one to usually jump on the panic bandwagon...and not doing that yet. However, stories like this are usually put down to 'agent leaked to get a better deal' etc. This is a different situation as a new deal was just agreed.
  3. Pearson is one thing ... but if McDonald goes without a fee then that is a shambles
  4. I'd hold off on that strong and definite opinion until we know more details.
  5. Just read that too. That would be a huge loss and would clearly need a replacement striker in. Would be an odd one right enough, unless something cute is happening with the signing of the 1 year deal in the first place.
  6. We can nip to the El Bakhtoui chat in the bud right now as he is on trial with Blackburn Also 99% sure we wont be getting another striker in. Moore moved on to free up some wages for a central midfielder. Dont be surprised to see 1 or 2 more move on also.
  7. He is only away on loan...so no fee
  8. Didnt expect that to be honest. Can only think it frees up some wages and that is some of the wheeling and dealing that needs to be done to get another midfielder in. Skippy, Blyth, Johnson, Mackin, MacLean, Thomas vying for 3 forward spots it would seem. (if we go 4-3-3 the season)
  9. Someone might have mentioned it already - but do folk know if Moore was injured at thr weekend? Or just not picked in the squad?
  10. I think things will look a lot different when we are not sitting in a 4-5-1 and have more possession.
  11. Return to the normal 4-3-3 McGhee plays. Samson Tait Heneghan McManus Hammell Cadden McHugh Lasley McDonald Blyth Johnson Motherwell win
  12. Most players were decent enough but lacking match fitness. No huge standouts but McHugh, Tait, Johnson, Cadden, McDonald impressed for periods. Probably go with McHugh
  13. I would imagine it won't help...the wording was all about unacceptable conduct and the club not dealing with fans correctly whose conduct was deemed unacceptable. I wondered what the Lee Wallace chants were all about. From the main stand you couldn't really hear it that well
  14. Well it was only in Jan/Feb this year the SPFL ruled and effectively gave us an 18 month suspended sentence. So, it will be hanging over us until then end of this season.
  15. Two teams that's were not match fit given how early we are to the season. We could have had about 5 and they could also have had about 5. They just managed to to take a couple of them. Decent enough performance and I think we will be absolutely fine this season.
  16. Looks like a 4-5-1 to me or 4-2-3-1 with McHugh and Chalmers sitting
  17. Joe Chalmers starts. Shoot me now. Samson Tait McManus Heneghan Hammell Ainsworth Cadden McHugh Chalmers Johnson McDonald
  18. Interesting story on a 14 year old destined for big things in our ranks...doubt there is much we can do to keep him given how young he is. http://m.heraldscotland.com/sport/14623203.The_14_year_old_Motherwell_striker_lined_up_by_some_of_England__39_s_best_clubs_heads_to_Sunderland_on_trial/
  19. Looking forward to competitive action even if the 2 teams won't be fully up to speed. I would go: Tait Heneghan McManus Hammell Cadden McHugh Johnson McDonald Blyth Moult Going with Moult as I was reading yesterday McGhee is up for giving him injections as long as no long term effect. If not then probably Moult out, Johnson up top and Campbell in. Well 3-1. Fuck it - no idea what teams will turn up.
  20. I hope that's the case definitely! R Rather than budgeting worst case scenario meaning x amount of season tickets, x amount hospitality and prize money for 10th and no cup runs money. Which is how it was described.
