I think Gow & Blackman have performed well in only 1 game as a partnership vs St Johnstone. I believe Gow shows nice touches but isn't the team player that we need and with his return in goals I'm sure Murphy and/or Sutton could do as well if played up-front. Maybe if McCall believes he can use whatever money he saves he might get 2 players in for the wages we pay Gow? Fitzy - I'm still un-decided, one of his harhsest critics from the past but to me he has shown more willing when played in centre mid than Forbes and should be kept to the end of the season as we don't know yet what will happen with Jennings and can't be left too light in there!

To me Saunders looked lost on Sunday and needs a run out of the side rather than in it. If Young's game plan was built around Hatley in midfield against Gers that suggests he won't shift him back to RB so again our massive weakness at RB will be exposed. I think we were very poor against crosses and at set pieces again and I would like to see Hutchie given a chance, he was on the bench so must be fit. I would also like to see the midfield filled with midfielders so as not to allow Celtic to run over us. I'd add fitzy to the centre and sacrifice one striker as Humph and Murph have the pace to get up in support when needed.

From what I saw Gow was up-front with Est and Blackman wide right but was not a rigid shape. Can't say if this was how it was from the start also.

Anybody know if Gow was number 10 - only got a bit in the second half and number 10 looked decent. Also who was 15 - was that Pollock as thought he did well.

Heard from a decent source it was £250k and it was deemed it was worth more to keep Mark and try to make that back in league positions. Such an offer would have been lucky to cover half of what we wanted to bring in.

For me, there is still a risk of Reynolds going today. Both sides of the Old Firm are after defensive cover and may yet test JB's resolve with an offer. We would have almost no chance of getting others in off the back of it though.

I'd suggest they'll give a debut to the big guy on loan from Newcastle, had a great season with Norwich last year.
