    Ins & Outs

Would we entertain a straight swap with no extra cash?

    Ins & Outs

Heard talk of Clarky also yesterday, but it was Jambos I'd heard and not Hibs.

    Ins & Outs

Wish big John all the best, gave us some good times last season and hopefully Randy will provide the same stops this year. Also on the Reynolds to Forrest piece, I know wee Billy has denied an interest but I wonder if this move may change things and open the door a little? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12874_6245398,00.html

    Ins & Outs

Would it be fair to compare Forbes to Charlie Adam. Adam always was good with the dead ball but often struggled in the SPL due to a lack of pace especially when played wide left at Rangers. Look at him now a £5m rated player but still has no pace. I think Forbes has potential and could improve stamina wise but don't think he'll be a wide left player with pace to hit on the break. I see him more as part of a centre mid 3 to spray the ball about and create. If anything the World Cup has re-inforced that 4-4-2 is dead. How about going 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 with Las, Jenn & Forbes in the middle with Humph wide right, Murph wide left and Sutton through the middle (obviously assuming the squad doesn't have an injection of better talent before the Europa game).

Anyone seen the right back playing for North Korea - get him signed up surely won't cost much!

    Ins & Outs

Think he has been on loan at Accies & Queens over last few seasons and didn't make much of an impact at either. Not as good as or better than what we have.

    Ins & Outs

Depends on Ross wage demands but he could do a short term job while we see if this young lad develops. Does this also suggest that Reynolds won't be replaced if / when he goes as we will have Saunders, Hutch, Page, Craggs and the young cypriot who could play in the middle?

    Hateley

Suggests we are maybe taking a similar approach as Hibs and Utd, tie youngsters to long enough deals to make some money if they do well. 3 years is a great deal!

    New Puma Kits

Could easily see the Dundee away top as a template for our home kit and use their away design as a mainly claret away top for us.
  11. Is the sponsor's name usually on the season books? If yes these are due out at the end of the week so could there be an announcement then?

    Ins & Outs

To me that sums up our transfer policy! No point suggesting or guessing as we will be way wide of the mark. At this time last year who would have suggested Ruddy, Coke, Jennings, Hatley or big Juke!

    The Silly Season

Thinking up excuses not to work on the garden and justifying the spending on renewing season ticket!
  14. For me last night because it meant something to our club. Skippy Sunday was a high but didn't really mean anything to the outcome of our season. If that is the last goal big Duke scores at Fir Park - what a memory!
  15. I'm sure Buzz will get a great welcome back from the DC. Noticed at the end of the Hibs-Hearts game on Saturday he was arguing with Hibs fans behind the goals - rought back memories.

    Possible Targets

What about the boy McNamee? Was a good prospect at right back when at Livingston. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...yle/8658264.stm

    Possible Targets

With JOB heading out what chance of a move for Teale http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...nty/8662147.stm I know wages will be high, but might be tempted to move back North to end career. he was linked a few years back I think.
  18. To me that's the interesting point as from memory the rates with the zebra mob were steep - more than your standard credit card charges, where as the half season deal was much more affordable. Surely all SPL clubs should be pushing for a discounted rate via the Clydesdale Bank. That way the clubs still get the money up front, the bank make some money off the interest charged, the SPL smells of roses as for once fans aren't totally ripped off!
  19. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Celtic arrive at Fir Park for the first game of next season! Early chance to recoup lost revenue from this season

    Pitch To Blame

Much as the pitch is a mess, it's the same for both sides and given it's our home pitch you could argue that we should know how to deal with it better. I never saw Utd taking any chances on the pitch like Fraser did on a few occasions. How many of wannabes would have given their right arm for a chance to play in the stadium no matter what the pitch was like. They should have been able to deal with it and didn't. I would say the third goal owed more to the fact that Humphrey isn't a right back than to the pitch (ie, he shouldn't have been bloody playing there in the first place!!)
  21. I'll go 2-1 for us. We played well the other night and reckon their eyes may already be on cup final as 3rd place is prob secure. Murph & JOB to score.
  22. I am somewhat disappointed by the lack of noise from the club itself on this stitch up. Do the club have any plans to re-compensate fans via season ticket prices for next season?

    Jim O'Brien

I'd love Jim to sign a 12month extension, but at the same time I wouldn't be-grudge him a move to the Championship.
  24. Ross di the right thing and exactly what he should have. From where I was in the Cooper I though Craggs effort was going wide and in the split second that Forbes has making sure was his only option. Officials got it so wrong so why not come out and label him as STUPID & SELFISH!!!

    Rangers

Like many others I thought Las, Craggs & O'Brien had good games. But for me it was Jennings his best display yet in a 'Well jersey and showed the fighting spirit and lack of respect you need against the old firm. Don't think and SPL midfield would have had as much possesion against Rangers in any game this season as we did last night.
