  1. Still see folk elsewhere mumping about Bair missing chances. True, he did, but the main criticism of him earlier in the season - if I remember correctly - was he didn't get into the right positions to get chances. Looks like they've been working on that successfully, and I think he's shown he'll get more goals if he keeps working on his finishing.
  2. The only pressure will come if we fall back down the league. After last night it's obvious Friday won't be a Baraclough/Hammell moment.
  3. One of the County fans saying, no point in sacking him, cos we'll probably just replace him with Derek Adams.
  4. We all know what paper's worth, but you're right. Plus - back to paper thin predictions - Hibs, Aberdeen, Livi and St Johnstone all have games you wouldn't expect them to win, so 3 points could make it a very good couple of days for us.
  5. The bold Derek informed us Hearts don't have any money.
  6. The good news is, Theo Bair is made of plasticine, not glass.
  7. From 6th place down, only Dundee, Aberdeen, St Johnstone and ourselves have won a single game out of the last 5 (same for Killie). Nobody outside the top 3 has taken more points than we have from those games, so the team should be feeling pretty good about their form, but those 3 points are like hen's teeth in this league.
  8. If we do win tomorrow, be interesting to see if that's described as 2 wins in 20 or 2 wins in 5. Both correct, obviously. Suppose it depends on the argument you want to make.
  9. If our hybrid pitch is similar to Celtic's, Rodgers has been complaining about the state of it recently. Tynecastle and Ibrox were also given as examples when ours was being laid, but I haven't heard of any issues there.
  10. Actually, that's not true. Hammell left after 24 games when we were on 20 points. We've played 23 games so far and have 22 points. We'll see what happens on Tuesday. As shit as our results have been so far, we've been picking up points lately - 6 from our last 5 games. Hammell's side amassed a total of 1 point from his final 5 games. That might be the difference.
  11. Which players did Dawes recommend in the summer and which ones were Kettlewell's?
  12. Must win and can't afford to lose are obviously not quite the same thing. A draw would be a real opportunity missed, but if it ends that way, I don't see how failing to pick up 3 points against Ross County would be worse for us than them, given their current form.
  13. I know folk will be greetin if he doesn't play some of the new guys and managers can see these games as a chance to give players a run out, but yeah, if we're serious about the cup, not too much tinkering.
  14. Victory won't save us, defeat won't kill us, but still a huge game in this wonky league. Level on points in the play-off place, or 6 points above it and probably 1 point off 6th, for 24 hours at least. 3-1
  15. Some of the Rangers season ticket holders gave him a warm welcome. Allegedly.
  16. Got to laugh at the media guys remarking how fickle fans are, as if he'd have booted a last minute penalty into the East Stand for old times' sake.
  17. The club does need to develop and sell Lennon Miller, but the manager also has a duty to make sure young players' long term careers don't get jeopardised to suit our short term needs. Kettlewell played Miller often enough before his injury to suggest he rates him very highly.
  18. In the last 5 games the bottom 6 teams have managed 3 wins between them (we have one of them). We're 4 points off 6th place. That's how tight this league is. Tuesday is a chance to pull away a wee bit, but these draws might end up saving us.
  19. I imagine the 'plus' part is why our lot aren't starting either.
  20. So we can get worse, according to you, in the second half. Why?
