  1. 2-1 Celtic. That result will do us, as will the performances of both sides. Mibbe we'll be in Europe by kick-off on Saturday - get the feeling Hibs are this year's top 6 whipping boys.
  2. VAR keeping up their usual standards. You couldn't trust them to check the time
  3. I got my tickets for both home games at the office when they were released, but I noticed the season ticket holders only message the other day. Online sales have been wonky for a while now, and that's obviously not going to help sales for the Hearts game.
  4. Sick of the sight of Falkirk, but they're out the road now and we live to fight another day. A fair few clubs have had a worse weekend than us. Hopefully, Hibs join that list tomorrow.
  5. They'd only need to win on the final day, if they lost tomorrow then won their next 2 games while we lost ours.
  6. Now he's greetin about the music Rovers played after the game lacking class and everybody wanting to beat Ross County this season (while they wanted to lose to everyone else, apparently). Tune in tomorrow for "She's turned the weans against us...."
  7. Jens talking about how important the praise has been, because if it's the other way 'round, a manager doesn't get the chance to stay and create something over time. Also saying they'll use it as 'fuel' to move forward and achieve more. You never know what's around the corner, but he certainly isn't talking like a guy who's itching to get away.
  8. Sounds like Bjørgolfsson might be out for the season.
  9. If JBA and the players feel he's been hard done by, the shortlist couldn't have come out at a better time.
  10. Were the Falkirk fans not singing 'Stand up and leave for Motherwell' the other week? (and something about bairns lifting a cup)
  11. Falkirk's turn for some payback. Then Hearts, then Celtic.
  12. You wonder what's next for Turnbull. If he's only been getting 20 or 30 mins most weeks in League 1, will stepping up to the Championship do for him what Luton being promoted to the Premiership did for Campbell?
  13. Wee Matthew's rosy cheeks always make it look like he's taking a beamer, as he should've with that decision. O'Hara was booked at 2-2. If St Mirren had won, we might've have heard more about it, but it'll be seen as inconsequential now. Does Rule 77 not cover officials making Scottish football a laughing stock?
  14. Last week, Matthew MacDermid awards a penalty when a player lying flat on his back in the penalty box, heading the ball, gets a boot to his napper from a defender legitimately attempting to make a clearance. Today, he awards a throw-in (and no yellow card) when a player deliberately catches a ball on the field of play. And we're supposed to believe this guy knows the laws of the game.
  15. When the Bairns go up to lift the Scottish Cup, I'll be deid, I'll be deid....
  16. Same here. Some cracking shots in there, but this one illustrates how we've played this season.
  17. That's probably a given, but if VAR in Scotland can't conclusively prove there was contact on Maswanhise, there can be absolutely no doubt it's not fit for purpose.
  18. But we all know it will. Hearts fans were delighted to take Saturday's decision, but you can almost guarantee they'll be greetin about VAR before the season's over. Three sides going for the title - it's an accident waiting to happen.
  19. The attitude towards Motherwell on social media has definitely swung recently. No doubt the inevitable 'too big for their boots' backlash accounts for some of that, but since Slattery's ban, 'diving cheats' is thrown out every time one of our guys goes down. Luckily, we have fair minded, competent referees who are immune to that stuff.
  20. Yeah, there's no way that one's going down as an incorrect decision. I'm more interested in hearing Collum explain how both the referee and VAR managed to miss the Maswanhise penalty. My money's on a shrug.
  21. Exactly this. The offence took place before Welsh made contact, and the fact Kabore got a boot to his noggin simply highlights it was dangerous play on his part, as defined by the laws of the game.
  22. Can't say I've been paying much attention to opposition keepers, but had a wee look at their passing accuracy stats for the last couple of games. Ward was between 70-80%, McCracken 50-60% and Prior around 40% for both matches. Could be to do with how many long balls they're hitting, but given what happened with Oxborough, you'd wonder if they're the type of keeper Jens would be after.
  23. Were they using a Betamax player?
  24. To be honest, I don't see many people on here suggesting it doesn't matter what we do, but even if they were, it would be equally nonsensical to suggest it doesn't matter if other teams get dodgy penalties against us, while we are denied stonewallers. There are very few teams who can cope with those kind of decisions on a consistent basis, and we certainly aren't one of them. We're all frustrated right now. Maybe don't poke the wound quite so soon.
