  1. I think you need to forget about Robinson. He's gone and won't be coming back, so he's irrelevant to our current situation.
  2. Did I say anything about them being awarded penalties? If you don't think there's anything weird about them being the only top tier side in Europe to avoid having a penalty awarded against them in their domestic league since VAR came into use, fair enough. And I'm not remotely interested in which school Jim O'Brien or anyone else went to. I'll leave that to the bigots.
  3. No penalties against any side for in any league for 2 years beggars belief, especially in the days of VAR. You're right though, these runs do happen. Rangers went 44 games without conceding a penalty in the league 3 years ago. There doesn't have to be a grand conspiracy at play for certain teams to be treated differently to others in this country, just officials behaving like so many other people.
  4. Does anyone seriously think that Rangers possess such quality defenders they were the only top division team in Scotland, England, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal and the Netherlands not to concede a penalty last season - in fact, for 70 odd games? And have you written your letter to Santa?
  5. Yes, McVAR hasn't spotted a single infringement in the Rangers penalty box, but its European cousin has been to Specsavers. We all know, because they've always had the benefit of the doubt at either end of the pitch. The incessant, pathetic whining that comes from their ugly sister doesn't change that.
  6. We should ask for their advice on that. They've done none of those things for 2 years, apparently.
  7. I get your point - the club know far more about who is available than we do. Would that not suggest they are in a far better position to decide whether Kettlewell should be sacked or not than we are?
  8. I'd like to know who was available/being considered before saying Kettlewell has to go. It's not at the 'can't be any worse' stage yet. Was Harri Kampman in work when he came here? If not, the last manager we took from another club was Tommy McLean, so I doubt we'll go down that path.
  9. Unless I'm missing something, the managers who are out of contract at this point in time are currently unemployed. Can't you think of anyone you'd fancy?
  10. You don't even need to leave the 'shire to find an example of one who did.
  11. We know who you mean. So who in Scottish football would be good examples of what we're looking for?
  12. Given those twin definitions, it would be interesting to hear who people think the professionals are in Scottish football.
  13. If we want to play a clutch of 17 or 18 year olds in the first team on a regular basis, that's one way to go, but it would certainly be in the Championship, or lower, very soon. The SPL may be full of dross, but that dross would eat those kids for breakfast unless they were very special talents. I suppose that's the choice we need to make - is survival in the top flight the be all and end all?
  14. The problem we have with building a side where promising youngsters mix with older heads is, at the slightest sign of promise these days, someone flashes the cash. We need the money, obviously, but we're not getting much return from the youth system team wise.
  15. That's you out the running for our new chairman. And it won't be the diehards who save the club if it's in as bad a state as some are saying. I wonder if Chris McClure stuck his panto money in an ISA?
  16. That tells you those clubs have more money to spend. What do Connor Wilkinson or Josh Morris tell you?
  17. I don't know where they imagine the ceiling is for Wrexham, but they'll find out. Once you look below the Championship, English football is mostly dross. Adams might be right about the current standard of skill shown in many SPL games but his claim a mid table League 2 side is 100 times better than Ross County is ludicrous. How many more shit players do we need to import from there to prove that?
  18. Adams should be happy he's back in a league full of very poor players. 24.3 and 27.3 win percentages in his last 2 jobs would suggest he had become a very poor manager in amongst the big boys.
  19. Agreed. But I think we will start winning games, sooner rather than later.
  20. His Uncle Roy sacked Dick Campbell after a couple of months because the team weren't playing the right style of football, supposedly on the say-so of Adams Snr. Being top of the league obviously didn't wash. Wee Derek got the job back then, so mibbe he'll get Morecambe FC in his Christmas stocking this year.
  21. Slattery's was the one that really annoyed me. The other guys could've done better, but he only had eyes for the penalty - again. There was one move where he turned a couple of players and got away from them, despite their efforts to pull him down. He's got that ability, but he looks for the easy option far too often, as his ridiculous number of bookings demonstrate.
  22. Rangers - very doubtful. Livi - why not? In those last 7 matches, we've picked up 5 points and lost 2 games. They've lost 6 and picked up 1 point. If you're expecting a miraculous turn around in form from them, then why would it be doubful we could do the same?
  23. When he's stopped reversing that bus over them he might as well stay on it, cos he's a goner.
  24. You do wonder, but I don't think he's wrong. Hard to imagine his players nodding along, though, so keep it up Del.
