  1. Assuming the Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen mob fill positions 1-5, as their budgets demand, any one of the other clubs could take 6th place, so why not us.
  2. It's certainly possible. It's also possible that the manager bought him but couldn't help him improve his game or simply had no idea how to use him effectively. Which could be part of the reason they ended his contract early and sent him packing. Davidson, that is. As we all know, any signing's a gamble, and we'll see how Kettlewell's recruitment has gone soon enough. Since it's his neck on the block, I doubt he finds this one as bizarre, ludicrous or dodgy as some on here.
  3. He failed at St Johnstone under a manager who paid money to sign him, then wouldn't start him, then got the bullet. Folk can decide if that says more about Bair or Davidson. I haven't seen anywhere near enough of him playing to make any decision about whether he is (or could ever be) good enough for this league, or whether he'd be better off plying his trade in the Norwegian 2nd tier. I don't know what standard that league operates at, but obviously their fans are adept at assessing which players are good enough for Motherwell.
  4. Yeah, I know it was. So what did their fans really say about him?
  5. You don't say. "Let's not resort to just making shit up."
  6. 4 goals in 17 appearances makes him one of the worst players they've ever had? You've actually found fans who are harder to please than our lot. Unless that quote came from the Norwegian Steelboy.
  7. What are the Hamarkameratene fans saying about him?
  8. Personally, I don't give a toss if Callum Davidson didn't fancy him. He got sacked for his inability to field winning teams. Bair's not the most inspiring of signings and he may very well bring nothing to us, but then again, he just might. He's our player now, so I hope he's a success - no sure everyone on here feels the same.
  9. He doesn't. So what's your point?
  10. If we signed a guy who has managed 50 odd games over the last 6 seasons, it wouldn't be his name that concerned me.
  11. In the same period St Mirren have only made it past the second round once, when they reached the semis. And outwith that season, they've never beaten a Premiership side in a knockout tie. Let them wet their knickers about us.
  12. Just checked back to when Efford signed in Jan 22. Official website said he was contracted to May 23. Same thing happened with O'Donnell, another year added to his deal but no announcement made by the club as far as I can see.
  13. I'm sure Efford was listed as being out of contract at the end of last season, but the website now says his deal ends May 2024. If it was recently extended you'd have to think he was in Kettlewell's plans at that point, and he got game time in Holland. The interview came across as Efford not believing he's fit and the manager not believing he isn't. Sounded more scunnered than sympathetic.
  14. What was it about his performances for St Johnstone that makes you rate him as worse than hopeless?
  15. Maybe it's just me, but he doesn't seem totally convinced about Efford's injury problems.
  16. AEL Limassol fan reaction to Zdravkovski being freed: "The arapi porridge continues"
  17. Yup. It was a comment on the gibberish reporting from BBC, Sky Sports (who still have Queens winning the shoot out) etc.
  18. East Fife are top of the group because they get a bonus point for winning a penalty shoot out and we don't, cos we lost it by scoring more penalties, though QotS took more than us, apparently.
  19. Personally, I couldn't give a toss what the Green Brigade etc think. The only time they found us tolerable was after the play-off, and that lasted for 2 minutes. My first Motherwell strip had a 'sash', so it doesn't bother me, though, as a rule, I much prefer an all white strip - which disnae make me an Imperial Wizard. Wonder what Shuggie Sproat makes of it.
  20. He should help balance out the sash away kit, at least.
  21. The top flight record is apparently 10, held by Mark Viduka and Marco Negri. https://spfl.co.uk/videos?v=RKrzAJu6Z4w&pl=PLAmNSUlUap5u6U2KmjUdYxmjlPghjkJJ6
  22. "Bobby Russell, a man who seems to take great delight in scoring against Celtic..."
