  1. Sounds like the last chance saloon. If - after hitting the bottom and putting in our worst display of the season as a reaction - we were to lose to an absolute shambles who just performed their manager out the door, any further delay would be ludicrous. This is it - win, or at worst draw with a battling performance, or it has to be over.
  2. Ged Garner, a striker from Fleetwood Town, was named as a target, but Grimsby, Hartlepool and Tranmere are also meant to be after him.
  3. If he trips up and breaks a leg on his way out Rugby Park, you can put money on it.
  4. Does Watt have more ability than most of the players we currently have in the team?
  5. I'm doubtful it'll happen, but I can certainly believe we're after him. It's not just down to him, obviously, but the wheels came off when he left a year ago and we haven't found anyone to replace what he brought to the team. You're right about the need for something - anything - that'll get us moving up the table, and the fans' reaction to Watt if he helps us do that. If popularity won points, Louis Moult would still be here.
  6. I can't see Dundee Utd letting him go to a team they were battling against to stay up. But then again....
  7. It was officially disappointing again.
  8. The question is, at this moment in time, do we do something in an attempt to save ourselves, or do we do nothing? If it's the former, there's only one course of action.
  9. Decent point after that run, but if Utd win tonight, we'll have been drawn closer to the bottom again. Other results kept us in the top 6 last season, but I wouldn't bet on them going our way this time round.
  10. Looks like the Mail (I think) has said one of VAR camera operators didn't record the required angle and that's what they're complaining about. Burrows has been talking about all the cameras being put in correctly, but the implication seems to be it was our cock up. Is it the responsibility of the home club to operate the system at their ground during games, or are people sent in to do that? * They're now saying the broadcaster was filming the dugouts when it happened, so they missed it. So they get the VAR footage from the shitty coverage we watch?
  11. If they linger. If the free kick is taken quickly enough they won't have time to linger. To get one simple, all-encompassing rule that isn't open to any interpretation, you'd have to do away with quick free kicks by waiting for the referee to mark out 10 yards after every foul or offside, and only restart play when he whistles.
  12. I don't see the problem. If the attacking team tries to gain an advantage by taking a quick free kick before the defenders have a chance to retreat 10 yards, and they make an arse of it, tough luck. It was their decision, so why should they get to take it again? The alternative would be to ban quick free kicks.
  13. Law 13. If they try to prevent it being taken, it's a booking. If they intercept the pass, play continues.
  14. Really disappointed this morning. We got a doing possession wise, but it was there for us to take something last night. Celtic weren't firing on all cylinders. Gonnae have to start picking up points from anywhere we can scramble them, because I wouldn't bet on this squad in a fight.
  15. Supposed to be James Bond technology. We bought it from Austin Powers and handed it to Frank Drebin.
  16. Goal line technology is the only sure thing because it's just a line between 2 fixed points. Offsides should be far more conclusive, though it's debatable how good their angles are at times. Handballs and everything else are still up to refs, and as we've seen week-in/week-out in England, repeated viewings don't stop them making laughably shit decisions, they just highlight them more. I thought VAR was a good idea at the start, but I got sick of it long before it arrived here. Should've known any attempt to introduce logic into football was doomed.
