  1. Painful viewing tonight. Our midfield was overrun from the first minute. Slattery was atrocious and could have been hooked anytime in the first half. Spittal is one of our best players but he's been off the boil for weeks now. Our midfield that served us well has now been well and truly found out. The fact that Kettlewell can't pick a settled forward line tells it's own story, it's like striker roulette every week. We desperately need to get Mika fit to start and quick.

  2. Said I'd take a point today at a tough venue but the sending off coupled with us being generally poor in all areas saw us lose the game. A bit of perspective required in that yes we've lost 4 but 2 against the OF and 1 against a St Mirren side who are having the season of their lives. Today was the only game where I've been genuinely disappointed by our performance. The break will do us good, we've had a tough few weeks and could really do with some bodies back to give us a fresh impetus. Miller will be a huge miss in 2 weeks time but it will hopefully give Kettlewell the opportunity to go with 2 up front for a change.

If Bair's job is not to actually score goals but instead provide knockdowns and suchlike, then why hasn't Shaw gotten a single start alongside him up top?

His job is to provide knock-downs for Spittal and Slattery. That much is obvious at this stage. The issue with playing with an out and out striker is that he will probably need the support that Bair supplies thus sacrificing a midfielder.

Bair is the one that everyone was thinking WTF, but honestly, he has been way better than I thought he was going to be. Nothing startling but a big honest laddie that will run about and try to create space for others to fill.

His knock downs, lay offs and general hold up play was excellent today. We played some tidy stuff but sadly we lacked the cutting edge required. Said before the game that the first goal would be critical. Robinson's teams are great at getting their noses in front then shutting up shop and defending for their lives. That said, the fact they've beaten us twice now this season without conceding is though to take.

Even better than I thought. Didn’t realize it started with Kelly. Yet another superb team goal.

Ironically it was one of the very few times Kelly released the ball quickly. He's got a tendancy to hold onto it for too long at times when there's a real opportunity to counter. The passes from O'Donnell and then Spittal were first class. Great team goal.

  6. Great day out yesterday. 100% from every player was great to watch. We won't play much better than that. Mention also for the fans. Sold out our allocation and were in fine voice for the whole 90. Particularly loved the waaahey when the Jambos eventually chipped in with a half assed song effort. Glorious.
