At least the commentator has dropped Blair over the half time interval. Someone must have given him the heads up.

Nice wee passage of play there. Wilkinsons an intelligent footballer. And the first for the Bair.
-
Couple of decent touches so far from the Bair. Hopefully he can do the donkey work and Wilko and boy from Arsenal can do the biz.

Comfortable win and good to see us win the group. Time will tell though if this group is good enough to compete week to week in the league against better opposition. I still think we need 2 or 3 decent signings up to the level. A forward for me is a must as we are obviously light in that dept. Wilkinson looks like he's still trying to get up to speed in the Scottish game. Very static at times and second to the ball too many times. That said, he took his goal well and when he did take possession his linkup play was good. Souare has improved as the group has progressed. In the QP game he seemed reluctant to make runs and pass forward but today you could tell he had been told to get to the byline and get crosses in. All in all job done, onto next week now.

Take a draw now. We appear to be a shambles at the back tonight.

I was wrong its Dundee Utd hes appears to be going to.
I'd rather he signed for us and didn't kick a ball than see him in the colours of that horrible club.

What's the deal with wee Tommy? The fans hold him in high regard and quite rightly so but I've never seen or heard of him making an appearance at FP since he left all those years ago.

Good candid chat with Stuart and Stevie Frail if you haven't heard it already.

If Blaney is going to be a starter next season he'd better learn some composure on the ball over the summer. Balls like a hot potato whenever it's near him. Take a touch fs.

Red card all day long. Reckless endangerment.

A minor complaint it may be but with the position we find ourselves in, in relative safety and with very little to complain about in previous weeks can we please discuss how poor the Fir Park pie has become? We had the best pies in the land when Mr. Chapman was the supplier and while I accept there's less fat/salt etc. allowed in food now the pies at FP really have been substandard for a long time now. I always buy a pie at the game both out of habit and probably in support of the club but I really don't enjoy the experience much at all. Steak pie today - dry as hell, meat like leather with absolutely no gravy at all. I even came across a FB post of away fans slating our pies. What has happened? It's the only part for me that lets the stadium down these days.

Well said. Not an entirely fruitless tenure. Different class.

Spittal for me. Not a vintage performance from anyone today but he got the crucial opener and when he's given the ball there's generally a feeling he'll do something useful with it. Repeating myself but he's been a totally different player since Kettlewell came in and that's no accident.

Excellent, gritty performance despite the best efforts of whistle happy Kevin Clancy to stop the game at every turn. He really is dire. Agree that the long stoppage in the first half put us right off our stride but we recovered well and dug in in the second. KVV really is on another level right now, that first touch for his goal was sublime and right out of the top drawer. Spittal pulling the strings in midfield was great also and he was my choice for MOTM.

We're in good form, we should be confident and I demand we pump them.

Love watching these old vids. These boys didn't just play football, they went to all out war on the pitch. Glorious.

Excellent point and much improved from last week. Well done boys!

Beaton's hopeless. He's got his back turned whenever there's a foul on a Motherwell player.

Wish we’d stop feigning injury - were doing well , rather we didn’t act like a bunch of play actors
I don't care a jot if we shithouse our way to a point.

Midfield need to do more . As soon as any of them get the ball the first instinct is simply boot it up the park .
Paton , slattery , goss and spittall all need to do better
defence have all played well
You can see Spittall trying but this is never a game for Goss who is ponderous and far too weak in the tackle or a not match sharp Slattery. It's a tough shift against them for any midfield but if you're going to compete at all you need engines in there.

We've been disciplined in our shape so far and we've defended well but we must be braver on the ball. Too many times we've fought back position then surrendered it with an aimless panicked punt up the park. We're still in this but we can't lose another before half time.

Something had to lighten up this forum. A few have fallen off a cliff tonight.

Considering how shite his team mates are it's a minor miracle.
We've won 5 of our last 8 games fs. Beating both Edinburgh sides and high flying St Mirren. Every team needs a maverick and we have one in VV but be under no illusion, performances in the last 8 games have been a team effort. You've got to be trolling now. Away to your bed .
