Two rotten teams on the park today and sadly we were the worst of the two. Dundee got their noses in front and basically suffocated the game by time wasting for an hour. That said, we were miles off where we needed to be to win. With a tough few fixtures coming up we could really have done with the 3 points today. Onto next week.

That save with his foot was exceptional. He has looked very assured since he's come in. Certainly grabbed his opportunity with both hands.

I said to my boy on the way home. That's why we do it. For nights like these. The whole experience took me right back to matches at FP with my own dad. He's now 13 and he'll have seen Motherwell at Hampden at least 5 times in that time. Not bad going.

So many excellent performances all over the park. The match itself wasn't a classic but the character and workrate from our team was fantastic. Ox with a match winning save, Casey won virtually everything that was thrown into our box, a real captain's performance from P McG and as others have said young Lennon just a class above again. Really pleased for Robinson to get off the mark with a great finish from a position I thought was impossible at the time. Fingers crossed that's him on his way on the goalscoring front. Compliments also to the fans who created a real cauldron all night. The atmosphere was the best there's been in a while, orchestrated by Block E in the corner. Brilliant. We've given ourselves too much of a hill to climb. Spirited performance in the last 15 minutes but overall fell short. If that Moses left footer goes in or the Casey header sneaks in we're praising the boys resilience and never say die attitude. (Well, most of us are) We played the in form team today and ran them close and I'd have taken a point happily before ko but it wasn't too be. We move on to Friday.

We were dominant for large spells of the game with Stj having a 10-15 minute spell where they got their equaliser. Maswanhise will take it and rightly so but I thought that was a good team effort today. I gave it to Wilson. I was critical of him a few weeks back but I thought he was excellent today. He's growing in confidence with each passing game. Mention for Gordon also. The guy is the best CB we've had since Aldred. Wins tackles, goes to ground occasionally and rarely beaten in the air. Fantastic signing.

It's the manchildren who stand with their arms crossed in utter defiance, looking all around as if to say "look at me, I'm not clapping the Judas" Grow up fs the guy actually put a decent shift in when he came on.

We have created chances though albeit few against rangers. Ultimately it's been taking them that's been the problem so far. We're only 2 games in and I feel positive that we have decent firepower in the squad. Once Robinson gets off the mark I think we'll see a player there.

There's so much space in and around both boxes already. The games well open. Miller saw the headlines there and shat it unfortunately. Decent start though.

Robinson missed a sitter, I'm sure Moses managed to miss a guilt edge chance in the first half as well as ducking to avoid heading an inch perfect cross from O'Donnell of all people. Wilson hit a shot narrowly over in the first and had a cracking long range shot saved by Laidlaw in the second. We also hit the post in the second half. We may have looked pedestrian at times but we created numerous opportunities over the 90 minutes for sure.
