Saw Max Johnston was in the Cooper today. Not sure how he's been doing in Austria but it would sure be nice to have him on loan til the end of the season.
-
Don't need to polish the shite, just roll it in glitter til the end of the season 😁
-
Proven goalscorer in the league. May be a few years older now but I can guarantee he'd give more effort and carry more threat than the likes of Shaw. The guys got an instinct that no-one other than Mika possesses right now.
-
To be fair it could and probably should have been a lot worse. I stayed to the end which is really something these days. A spirited performance second half but ultimately we carried no real threat in the final third. Paton killed the match within 20 minutes and could have been removed at anytime in the first half.

I can see it now. Playoff v Utd and Moult buries us into the championship ironically after we turned our back on him in favour of multiple mediocrity.
-
I'd be shocked if any manager were to take anything in Paisley and amazed if we take any points on Xmas eve with this squad at his disposal. Especially with the ever growing injury list. Do we ride it out and hope SK gets it right in January? Just a thought..
-
Wee Dave for me. Thought he gave us the much needed fight and tenacity that we've lacked in midfield all season.
-
He does, but on this interview to me he sounds scunnered and almost resigned to his fate. He's a likeable guy and I'd love to see him turn it around. Unfortunately I don't think we've got the personnel and injuries on Tuesday won't help matters. It's a big January window for us again, who will be in the hotseat to oversee it remains to be seen.

County are strolling this and it's frightening. Another shocker from Kelly there. He seriously needs a spell on the sidelines.
-
An experienced head who's been around a bit and can bring a fresh approach and get us back to basics. We need to be harder to beat much like we were when Craig Brown came in. Here come the "I'm going for broke and changing things drastically" half time multiple subs.
-
Gie wee Bill a shout. He's desperate for a gig and will do it til the summer on the cheap 😁
-
We have no desire to win an aerial battle anymore. (And desire cannot be coached)
-
Probably can't get a signal out that highland backwater
-
I don't think we'll see any defenders unless we ship some out tbh. I'd expect a hard tackling box to box midfielder on loan and hopefully a right sided full back that the manager trusts to be effective going forward as well as back.
-
It's not a certainty. It never is but he's now an experienced manager with proven success in England. Probably with contacts that will allow us access to a better pool of loans and transfers. I get why people are still butthurt by his previous tenure but I honestly think he'd be a different proposition a second time round. Motherwell was his first gig and over 20 years ago.

I'll support Kettlewell all day long but it won't put a winning team on the pitch alone.
-
Bravo. How about suggesting a name then? Or is that beyond you and someone else's problem? Malky? Crags n Faddy? Always the same old "faces" in here happy to pounce on others for making a suggestion without sticking their neck out and offering anything productive.
-
Don't know so much. I've seen him at Fir Park more than once this season and he was at our cup tie in Paisley. Maybe he's just keeping in the loop as it were or perhaps thinks he's got unfinished business with us? Who knows. Either way he'd be my go to should it come to that.

Alright, let's just say he's better at defending than attacking and the safest pair we currently have.

The goals were conceded today were comical. To restrict Celtic to virtually nothing on their own patch to that today was criminal. That however is only half the problem. From middle to front we have no clear plan on how to break teams down and get in behind. We're a long ball hit and hope team and it's eye bleedingly bad. We don't have bad forwards as goals scored shows, it's the lack of decent service that's the main issue. There's a real lack of imagination in midfield. I missed our third today but Dundee must be kicking themselves that they weren't out of sight by the end. We're relying far too heavily on other teams making mistakes without really creating anything by our own doing. If Kettlewell is still in the job come January he needs to get some width in the side. O'Donnell as much as he's a safe pair of the hands at the back he offers us nothing going forward. Can't cross, never beats the first man and doesn't have the pace to get to the byeline.
-
I'll give it to Kelly as a pen save is as valuable as a goal at times. Thought he was back to his best today, looked a lot more assured in his area and made some good saves. Blaney was solid all day as well, he's one who has clearly worked his ass off and been patient to get in the side and he's determined to stay in it. Good result today.
-
That was ridiculous

I've always credited McLean as being one of the better refs in our league but today he's been awful. Paton clearly fouled on the edge of our box and he gives handball against. Books Slattery for virtually nothing and then calls our foul further away from the Celtic box than the foul looked to be.

Fully expect Celtic to dominate the ball in these matches but when we do get it our retention is woeful. A solid first half where we've kept them at bay but we cannot chase them for a whole 90. We must keep the ball better in the second half.
