2 nil to Scotland already against South Korea. Campbell starting again. Middleton crossed for Billy Gilmour for the first. The second Burke ran 50 yards and finished well.
-
Hutchy and Saunders would have been playing boys club football the last time we beat Rangers in the league. Kinniburgh and Partridge at the back that day. The game you are thinking of is the one where Jim O'Brien missed a pen in the last minute to win it. And Yassin Mouatkil ran riot against Jerome Rothen.
-
He tried to leave Falkirk last season but they refused to budge on compensation and no club would pay the money for him. That resulted in him being forced into signing a one year deal where he got sent off in his first game and apparently never hit the heights of previous seasons after that. We could possibly end up in a similar situation with Cadden.
-
McCrorie was excellent when he played at Fir Park with Berwick last year. The players coming through seem to have improved technically and what we are lacking are dominant centrebacks and a physical striker.
-
I don't see him going to St Mirren right now but he's not far off the Owen Coyle to Ross County stage of his career.
-
There would be more conflict. The clubs look after their own interests, the SFA are responsible for the whole of the sport. Say they merge what happens with sponsorship? Who would decide what percentage goes to the senior clubs and what goes to women's and grassroots? The richest clubs already have a big influence at the SFA. If you officially merge them in they will end up completely dominating it to the detriment of every other part of the game.
-
If the players are being told to hit diagonals every single time they get the ball then it's down to the manager.
-
What benefits would come from a merger? The SFA adminster all football, the SPFL are the professional clubs. It's two different things.
-
Gemmell makes Steve Robinson look like Pep Guardiola. You can make case for the senior team's switch to all out shitfesting we are about to see under McLeish but what do we gain from the u21s constantly punting long balls?
-
It's because they try to avoid paying as much tax as possible.
-
Do you not think it's strange that he never thought it might be a good idea to get himself in shape at any point during that time? If your getting paid 8 grand a week for essentially nothing it's surely not that hard to find 90 minutes a day to train.
-
I was at his first game and his last game. He was walking about the park for most of the the final game and at one point in the first half chased a ball when he was offside and was so gubbed he was still offside when we won the ball back and hoofed it back up the park. Even Skippy never got caught offside twice in 30 seconds. There was also his embarassing cameo in the semi final and the shocker against St Johnstone. It's possible he actually got less fit.
-
Why do you think he isn't fit? The guy was training with our first team for months and isn't any fitter than when he got there. If he is doing all the training with the club that the other players do then he must be doing something wrong away from the club.
-
O'Halloran is clearly trying to engineer a pay off from Ibrox. With Ciftci it's not just about preseason you need to trust him to sort his diet as well.
-
I don't have agents sending me lists of available players or a head of recruitment so obviously i can't come up with names. I'd stay well clear of Ciftci though. If he had any intention of getting his career back on track he would have been working hard off the park over the past few months but it's clear he hasn't.
-
Why would we sign Ciftci when he couldn't be bothered to get fit between January and May? Give him a contract and he'll just take the piss like he has for the last three years.
-
Aye he made a great tackle to stop Rogic scoring at one point. He does the job Robinson wants him to in the middle of the park. Given the height of Campbell and Grimshaw and the fact that Rose is a blouse he's likely to be doing the same job next season.
-
Newell hasn't done anything to deserve an extra year so no wonder it was done on the fly. Robinson deserves credit for making the club much more professional on the playing side but there is something off about this given he's apparently good mates with Mike Newell. Petravicius made 14 appearances which was 13 too many. The guy was Jacob Blyth level shite yet kept on getting picked for the squad and time on the park.

Grimshaw was ball watching at both goals. The midfield were onto a hiding, constantly outnumbered. -

We had to change the formation after 20 minutes. And the disruption the change in formation arguably cost us the second goal as no one was picking up Ntcham. -

That's fair enough but why do you think everyone else should be the same? And I can't see why it would stop you watching the game. If we had been a couple of goals ahead no one would have cared. -
He obviously played too many passes yesterday. Can't be having that....

We were beaten by Robinson's tactics. Two up front and and out numbered in the middle of the park. A Grimshaw, McHugh and Campbell midfield is never going to be able to take the pressure of the defence. Individually I thought the players did ok. Campbell and Carson were outstanding. Kipre was very good. Dunne was his usual self with great defending and terrible passing. Hopefully we use the money from these runs to bring in some footballers and open up a bit so we are better to watch next season. The worst bit of the day was when I noticed Petracvicuis warming up..... The people who are raging about the Gaza protest would probably have raging about a Free Nelson Mandela protest in the 80s. -
Cheers. By Robinson's comments it's a new signing rather than anyone leaving.
