If all the games were on Saturdays then there might be an argument for not resting players but given we have a midweek match we would be crazy not to rest players. I also don't agree about the players losing their sharpness. First 45 against Rangers coming out the international break was the best we have played this year. Apart from Grimshaw everyone has played a huge amount of football this year and no one is going to get any fitter than they already are. Our game is massively based on work rate . The main thing is to have everyone free of injuries and ready to put in a massive 120 minute shift.

Hendrie is pish and has looked unfit every time I see him despite the fact he should be trying to save his career. He'll be back at Accies before long. Ending his loan would send a message about professionalism but it doesn't really matter. The main thing is he shouldn't be playing because he's hopeless. I'm not a fan of Robinson's style of play but he clearly sets standards and the contrast to McGhee flying in for the weekend and Faddy's head tennis training is stark. On Saturday I was delighted to see him blank Ciftci for players who will be here next season, again contrast that to McCall giving Omar Daley a run out in Perth rather than giving Erwin his debut back in 2013.

I see on the club Twitter that Cedric was happy cause his mum was here today to see him score. I think that's the first time i've seen a player celebrate for so long the game kicks off again before he's finished.

Another poor game but there was at least enough incidents to make it entertaining. Our long ball football is bad enough normally but Main was clearly holding back today which made it even worse. Moussa getting injured trying to half Tait in the first minute was amusing, could have been red though. Fuck knows what Bowman was doing when he got injured, it looked like he was trying some sort of UFC takedown on the Dundee defender's knee and the guy studded him. James Scott got a baptism of fire fighting for long balls against big defenders but he looked decent when he got the ball into feet. McHugh was outstanding in the last 20 minutes winning a daft amount of challenges and headers. The funniest bit of a comical game was the Dundee boy trying to knock the ball by Dunne in the box, you would think players would have realised they can't run by Charles by now.
