  1. i'm hardly the first person to say 'mccall lies down to rangers' on here.
  2. i think that in his time here there were games he was more bothered about winning than others. kuban and st johnstone away last season were games where we clearly weren't that bothered about winning. subbing on omar daley for a final run out in may 2013 was a mystifying decision. regarding the rangers game in 2011 i think that if the opposition had been different mccall wouldn't have left us wide open as he did that day. yabba a while ago implied we purposely lost to hearts on the last day in 95 because we wanted the away crowds. i imagine if you are involved in the game priorities might get mixed up.
  3. when the manager 'rests' half the first choice defence for a game against rangers it raises an eyebrow. when you are three nil down and taking a pummelling and the manager takes off lasley and leaves on steve jones who is knackered and hasn't bothered to track back once in the full second half it looks dodgy. rangers tore us to shreds that day yet we were playing near enough 4-2-4 at the end. the game where mcculloch scored the winner at the end was also questionable to me. 89 minutes without a sub when the team were dead on their feet? that was also the day of the masonic handshake.
  4. we just got rid of a manager who sent a team out to get gubbed by rangers to help his mate's goal difference a few years ago. it would be nice to have someone who wasn't in thrall to either side of the old firm and they don't come much more old firm minded than peter grant.
  5. i don't want butcher but i don't think you can hold finishing bottom against him, we were by far the weakest team in a league where every other club was still living high on the generosity of their bankers.
  6. 2003/04 was a season when the phrase "punching above our weight" was actually accurate.
  7. are you getting motherwell mixed up with blantyre celtic?
  8. so you think o'brien on loan from derby is on the same wages as josh law from the alfreton and that we used our final signing to bring in cover for a position we already had 4 first team players able to play?
  9. stark has been in the easiest gig in scottish football for years and has overseen numerous poor results and crazy squad and team selections. there is no way he is cut out for the manager's chair at fir park.
  10. no to stark. mclean, davies, black, butcher, mcghee, brown, mccall. any chance of a manager who isn't an ex old firm player.
  11. I personally think we'll be looking back thinking we missed a chance to win a cup when the old firm, Aberdeen and the Edinburgh clubs were at historically weak levels. Compare the squad McCall took over to the one he has left us. Think about getting knocked of Europe by part timers and all our domestic cup embarassments. We are in danger of being relegated out the weakest top flight in Scottish football history, that doesn't scream great job at me.
  12. We are staring relegation in the face and can't really afford to pay anyone off. It might also bec the case that the best man to turn things round short term isn't the best man for the rebuilding job we need to undertake in the summer
  13. plus he took the club to court after walking out to go to aberdeen and our directors hate him.
  14. hopefully josh law will be soon be an out.
  15. Where does the money go if the shares are sold to someone other than the society? Boyle or the community trust?
  16. The last two times I've been in on a Friday they've had thistle-st mirren and accies-aberdeen on so I'm fairly certain they'll either have it on or put it on for you tonight.
  17. Well Celtic didn't want their share reduced and it wasn't. It must have took a unaminous vote to change the split midseason.
  18. The mistake was agreeing to the prize money for second place being redistributed when we were favourites to finish second.
  19. Weir, Wilson and McMahon are all lifelong Motherwell fans who are on the board because they have business experience.
  20. Who do you think has been running the club since we got out of admin?
  21. I'm just going by what has been said at the meetings. I might be wrong but I thought they were quite clear in saying that Boyle doesn't have any shareholding now.
