It's a region of France rather than a country. They enter a team into the French Cup every year. Some away day.
-
Well there doesn't seem to be any record of it. It might have been a friendly. He has quite an extensive wikipedia page that he obviously keeps up himself so i'd take any claims with a pinch of salt.
-
Charalambous and Williamson never played for us.
-
Was Hermann not French? We should definitely sign an Italian at some point.
-
How much do you think he paid for the majority shareholding then?
-
He owns the club. He seems to have been given the shares for free because he was willing to provide an interest free loan. Even if a penny of the loan is never repaid and he loses the whole million he still retains ownership of assets which are worth considerably more than that million.
-
Providing a loan isn't buying something. The net cost is zero (forgetting about the interest). As has been shown this week it's not a given that the club or the society will be able to repay the loan and even beyond the repayment of the loan there have been vague statements about 'proving' to him that we are capable of fan ownership. The perfect outcome that has been laid out by Hutchinson and the society is certainly not the only possible outcome and going by the history of our club and recent Scottish football history it would have to be considered a long shot to work out exactly as planned.
-
I don't think that purchasing the 5% shareholding has brought the society any benefits and purchasing it at the cub's asking price was detrimental to the society. The society would be mad to make any more small share purchases which don't alter the ownership structure of the club.
-
I would question whether it's in the best interests of the society members to have the society chairman as club chairman. There are surely going to be times when the interests of the society and the club (ie Hutchinson) diverge and that individual is going to be unable to carry out both roles properly.
-
The club (and the ground) is owned by Les Hutchinson which he appears to have bought for free. The society is comprised of Motherwell fans who have contributed half a million pounds which they will not get back.
-
The Society board chose confidentiality over informing the members of their actions and took an executive decision to accept the Hutchinson deal leaving us with debt three times greater than our remaining capital. The responsibility for this lies with a handful of people and they are the ones who will have to make it work.
-
Partick Thistle have brought Robbie Muirhead in on loan. Decent signing for them in an area they are weak in.
-
Over 1000 have signed up so there definitely was an appetite. However the goalposts have been moved several times eg the club not making it clear the shares had to be bought by the society, Boyle threatening to sell the club to South Americans, this new loan deal with Hutchinson. Whether the appetite still exists is highly doubtful.
-
According to Dempster and Weir the society requires over a million quid of liquid capital to run the club. So if we pay back Hutchinson where do we get the money to run the club?
-
It's possible Clarkson is on a pay as you play type deal. Given his injury issues and us getting our fingers burned with McFadden it would be the wise move. If Robinson is better than what we've got then I'm glad to have him on board. Aberdeen moved up a level when they brought in Rooney, Dundee Utd have went from possible relegation battle to likely top six just by adding McKay. Having a goal scorer is vital and too important to wait and see if guys are good enough.

I am serious. If people start broadcasting games on periscope it's stealing from the club.
-
Ferguson was immense against England at Wembley. It's ridiculous to describe him as a limited player. I'm too young to have seen McStay properly but he won caps when we had very good midfielders.
-
Anybody caught broadcasting the game via their phone should be banned from Fir Park. The club needs TV money.
-
The confidentially was due to an insurance payment made by on behalf of the hospital who fucked up Ramsden's first operation. The club can obviously tell us whatever we want but I was just using that example to show that the public line isn't always the full story. There were loads of posts that spring wondering when Ramsden would be back and what was going on with his injury and we were all completely in the dark as to what was actually going on. On the manager's contract most clubs are happy to make the length of contract public.
-
The guy can't tackle or head the ball and isn't a great passer but by all means stick him in centre mid.
-
The club were less than truthful about Ramsden's injury he picked up at Tynecastle and they completely blank anyone who inquires about the manager's contract. How long players will be out are is standard press conference fare, hopefully we hear later today.
-
Filed under the official secrets act along with details of the manager's contract.

Should we get used to being the second best team in Lanarkshire?.
-
Do you know what else those teams have got in common? They have all scudded us and shown Barraclough up as a diddy.
-
Scraped us through the play offs, scraped us by East Fife. Get him to fuck before he manages to do any proper damage.
