  1. i was quite impressed with hearts on saturday against celtic and they showed a lot of character against us in january. i expect them to fancy their chances and be very physical.
  2. omar daley getting a run out on the final day of the season when erwin was on the bench was the worst example of that.
  3. if mccall is playing vigurs half fit ahead of leitch or thomas it's a sad state of affairs. I can see why you play lasley and carswell carrying knocks but vigurs offered nothing tonight. Common sense says when you are shipping goals you simplify things. Mccall decided in his wisdom to play a complicated 5 man system and 4 of them didn't have a clue what they were supposed to be doing. 13 goals in five games but it's coming from the middle of the park.
  4. mccall's tactics in the first half were brutal. The midfield were absymal and gifted them the game. Neilsen should be finished, the guy is an imposter. Rapport with bois? Give him a shot of the drum.
  5. would these be astro or the two existing grass parks?
  6. i had forgot about that, it wasn't exactly a moment of magic though. the ineptitude of our forward play in the past five games featuring mcfadden speaks far louder.
  7. he set up one goal and scored two in the partick and st johnstone games. in the 2014 games he has barely made a contribution.
  8. you think we should make allowances for the fact that he is only in the team on repuatation? the league is the poorest it's ever been and he can't make an impact. unless he is willing to play for bob mchugh level wages he should be finished at fir park as that is his level of performance these days. if he leaves at the end of the season who would sign him?
  9. if he was a nobody he wouldn't be in the team and he would probably have been sent off last night for his constant dissent. regardless of who he is the contribution isn't there and mcfadden and sutton isn't a viable partnership up front.
  10. if we had signed derek riordan and he had peformed the way mcfadden had this season there would be uproar. probably our top paid player and he's not won us a single point this season. all he is good for these days is moaning at the ref.
  11. it looks like it's going to be a tough one. Ainsworth and vigurs are going to have to be told to get effort levels upped from the weekend. I think mccall will have them up for it as he won't want another profile embarassment. Gunnar murray hutchy mick hammell ainsworth lasley carswell vigurs zfa sutton
  12. there is no sensible point behind the wiliam wallace thing. brining up something that happened 700 years ago and comparing it to the modern era is the height of stupidity. the fact that league is struggling to get a sponsor probably isn't helped by these muppets either. in the same week they have managed to get roll of honour into the charts the ira have sent 7 parcel bombs to england and one of the dieters they are 'honouring' has been implicated in a sectarian massacre at an official inquiry. how many businesses want to be associated with that?

    Hated Players

but we had the last laugh when we pumped them in the replay then he missed a sitter in the last minute to equalise in the league game the following week.
  14. the rangers saga followed by the reconstruction fiasco and hearts going down the pan has killed the value of the league. doncaster can't take the whole blame for that and the potential reduction in income was laid out by the board prior to the society vote in june 2011.

    Hated Players

the abuse of mcclaren started because of a shocking challenge on hammell at rugby park.

    Hated Players

it's just part of the game, higginbotham put in bad challenges in on our most popular player two games in a row so he was guaranteed to get pelters. He raised his game because of it and gave it back and we got the last laugh. It definitely added something to the game, it's part of the entertainment as long you leave it at the final whistle. Andy mclaren and kirk broadfoot are probably the two players i've seen have the best reactions to abuse from the stands. They both head's gone material.
  17. faddy was dire again today. he was toiling from an early stage, he's miles off a proper level of fitness. he deserves credit for having a bit of fire in his belly but there is no quality. today was the third game in a row where he has had a shot inside the six yard box and failed to score.
  18. kilmarnock, aberdeen, dundee united, hibs and hearts have all gave their young players a chance this season. there was no way we were going to give anyone a debut today.
  19. the only partick thistle fan in viewpark and at holy cross, it must have been a hard life
  20. the effort was there from faddy but i thought he was poor. He was talking about getting a big move in the paper today, the guy is deluded. Lasley and hutchy stood out for me again. This season so far has been a war of attrition and 7 guys have dragged us through it.
  21. he didn't put the ball out in the first game when carswell was down injured, clattered lasley early in the second game and did the same again today. The game after he scored the overheard he was a sub at dundee and spent halftime sitting in the dugout bouncing a ball. He obviously came up to try and revive his career and feels he was treated unfairly, he probably blames us for being stuck at thistle.
  22. hibs taking off riordan for kevin mcbride in the 6-6 game was the worst substitution ever.
  23. sutton is one of our players of the season and our top scorer, he has to play. he was rested at thistle due to having 4 games in 10 days. now we've had 3 weeks rest we should be playing the best players available and hoepfully we will improve as the games get progressively harder as the month goes on.
  24. sutton and anier up front. Sutton was superb against aberdeen and it's fair to say mcfadden wasn't.
  25. i can't see it. the big clubs and their fans are used to being successful, every team that goes into a euro league can't win it or challenge so i don't see it being appealing for big clubs to put themselves into a position where they might be scrambling about mid table every season.
