  1. i think there is a bit of creative accounting going on there. They might have spent more than the 90,000 euros getting to and from turkey but they still made money off tickets for the home leg and selling the game to turkish tv.
  2. he's our only mobile midfielder at the moment so i hope he can lock down a starting spot. I watched the first half of the kuban game before heading to cowdenbeath on saturday and their centremid kabore was running the show. I doubt lasley, lawson or vigurs have the legs to get near him.
  3. we still need at least two players. bob took his two goals well on saturday but his all round performance didn't suggest that we can count on him to lead the line if sutton is unavailable. we definitely need another striker as well as a winger .
  4. is stalker named after the tarkovsky film?
  5. blackpool just bought caddis from swindon so they must be looking at him for midfield. I'd take him back on reduced wages quite happily.
  6. there were two black guys playing in the first half. one was zaine, the other was the french trialist. the portugese trialist came on at halftime for the frog.
  7. what about the french guy in the first half?
  8. i agree about thomas and murray but i thought erwin was decent as well. Was that their first team?
  9. this is the boy that refused to help them put up the aerotent thing they had outside the ground for training? he has been mentioned on P&B a few times as above basically good player shite attitude.
  10. Chris Gadi N'Kiasala (born 9 April 1992 in Ris Orangis) is a French football player who plays for French club US Boulogne on loan from Ligue 1 side Marseille. He plays primarily as a striker, though his influence can extend out to the wings and the attacking midfield positions. Gadi is a France youth international having represented his nation at under-17 and under-18 level. He played with the under-17 team at the 2009 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship. Gadi made his professional debut on 17 December 2011 in a 2–1 win over Lorient appearing as a substitute.[3] His father is a fan of Marseille and, subsequently, named his son after former Marseille player and England international Chris Waddle.[4 good pedigree if nothing else.
  11. toni silva is on trial, portugese winger. chris gadi, french striker from marseille. can't find any info about the scottish guy jack smith.
  12. since most of the decent sides are concentrated in western europe it would be a bit unfair. they give every club enough money to travel and outwith a few countries there aren't many fans who want to travel for these games.
  13. it's a bit of a boot in the baws that we got such an inaccessible team, after all the good trips recently you just kind of assume you'll get another one. hopefully faddy can give us a bit of magic and we can get italy or germany in the next round. if not then we'll just need to win a cup or two.
  14. fingers crossed for the holland/luxembourg pair then. Although i would be interested to see what bother decorator gets into in georgia.
  15. we're 24 hours from the draw so it's time to forget about faddy for a while. these aren't guaranteed to be the only teams we can get but are the most likely. it's difficult to see too many teams there who tick all the boxes for a good trip and a chance of progression. vitesse arnhem looks about the best option there and austria would be decent as well. as long as we dodge israel, turkey, ukraine, russia and cyprus i'll be happy.
  16. murphy went through one on one in the first five minutes and we should have had a penalty when their defender handled later in the first half. the goal they scored from the freekick was jammy.
  17. the norwegian team were decent and definitely had more resources than us. we gave a good account of ourselves against odense and would have beaten them with better finishing.
  18. no fishing here. i just want some more signings for positions we are lacking in and am underwhelmed by some of the players we have brought in and extensions given out. quite a lot of people commented that our squad looks unbalanced last night which it shouldn't be considering mccall has had a lot of opportunity to rebuild. we've currently got 6 centrehalves and no wingers.
  19. when we had a settled side and a good preseason under brown we gave europe a decent go. having only brought in one striker, no wingers and no right back at this stage is disappointing imo.
  20. it's a bit pointless working hard to get into europe then going into the games without a hope of getting through because you haven't made the neccesary signings. we didn't have many ideas going forward and i heard it was the same on saturday, lasley wide left ffs! without faddy or someone else who offers creativity or pace we'd have no chance against any seeded team.
  21. i wouldn't be happy going into the european games with the players we put out last night.
  22. we're a missing a right winger (and a right back) rather than any particular players.
  23. good summary of the game but i thought lawson let his man run off him for their second goal. haven't seen it on tv though.
  24. the estonian worked hard but didn't link up at all. Zaine and faddy made a big difference and i thought carswell played well. Struggling to see what lawson will offer unless we play 4-5-1. Right back is an issue
