  1. i think that was established when we went into admin.
  2. panathanikos still have a bit to do to guarantee their spot. they play aek athens tonight. you also need to bear in mind the different scenarios dependent on who wins the final this year.
  3. the changes they made recently make it easier for league winners to qualify and trickier for teams that don't win their league.
  4. he signed an extension last june.
  5. it's set up to make it easier for teams from non major leagues who are champions to qualify. if you don't win your league it's a trek.
  6. the only danish team we can possibly play is copenhagen. nordsjaelland cannot be seeded. still a few games left to play in denmark and they are level on points.
  7. olympiakos are the champions. 2nd -5th play a 6 game round robin for the champions league spot.
  8. there are mini leagues for euro places in turkey, greece and belgium that the bbc website doesn't show so it's not much use. fifa.com is better. some of those teams we can't play due to seeding. russia - cska, spartak, lokomotiv portugal - braga, benfica, sporting. this could possibly be settled tonight. ukraine - if shaktar beat the bottom team next week it'll be dinamo kiev. holland - settled tomorrow. psv are certs to beat the bottom team so it'll depend on feyenoord dropping points to heeverern (who have a wee chance). there is very little chance of us getting feyenoord as they have a poor ranking and would likely be unseeded. greece - panathanikos, aek athens, paok salonika turkey - fenerbhace or galatasary. could be decided tomorrow, if not they play each other next sunday. belgium - brugges, genk, gent denmark - copenhagen romania - cluj, fc vaslui, dinamo bucharest, steaua bucharest
  9. the vast majority of people i know will be there next season regardless.

    Rangers

everyone played well. i thought hammell did well up against whittaker on his own and made some vital tackles.
  11. how do you know the lads that make the banner will walk away?
  12. rather than a euro top we should make it a non spl top to cash in on all the punters who are boycotting everything spl.
  13. the h**s did not enjoy that we did everything we set out today except score. the murphy and ojaama partnership looked promising. that pace and movement could cause massive problems next season.
  14. he is 30. not that old at all he's got another 4 seasons in him at least which is a long time in football. 100% you only have to look at what has went on at hibs and aberdeen recently to see what happens to clubs that don't have the right kind of characters in the dressing room and very little commitment to the club. craggs will probably bow out next week and las might only have one more season in him. hammell earns his money on the park as he is incredibly consistent but i don't think you can put a value on the leadership our senior players have provided over the last couple of years.
  15. they don't have to accept it if they are offered more elsewhere. signing hammell should be our priority. we need to figure out some way of getting rid of omar and giving his dough to stevie.
  16. i think it's just to do with costs going up and income staying steady. ticket prices are static while everything else is getting more expensive. derek weir has said that we would have had had to cut costs 12 months ago if wasn't for the cup final. the thought of hammell or lasley joining another spl club because we won't pay them the wage they are due while omar picks up a wage here next season makes me think bad thoughts.
  17. i'm a bit worried about hammell. reading between the lines of his interview the other day he isn't happy about being offered reduced terms. considering his contribution you can't blame him and i think the club have a few problems on the horizon if they expect the guys that are out of contract this year to take a wage reduction while the guys that have a year to run - randolph, law, higdon, hateley - remain on the current wage structure.

    Pitch Invasion

i'm fairly certain someone did boot him in the arse as they ran by. more of a sidefooter than a full blooded kick but unless my memory is playing tricks on me it happened. we had a bye kick at the end of the game and most of the players gathered round the tunnel for a sharp exit. the valiant ross stuck to his left wing task and then began to wander towards the other touchline seemingly unware of the tsumani of bams about to envelop him from the east.
  19. micheal johnston will be kicking himself for stressing over the fact they owe out £10 million quid. apparently it's not a big deal. if the guy that wrote this letter thinks anyone at killie has a say in what they vote over rangers he's clueless. lloyd's bank will be telling killie how they are voting.

    Pitch Invasion

this is why ps. superintendent barr was talking shite.
  21. i emailed nasa this question and a crack team of scientists came up with the answer "because if rangers weren't here the budget would have to be reduced by a much greater amount"
  22. it was a nice change to benefit from his terrible defending in january after him costing us so many goals last season.
  23. dundee united are hugely over rated. they have a mini old firm syndrome going on due to having a daily paper in the city and jim spence who combines his bbc role with being chief of propaganda at tannidice. has anyone actually seen mackay steven have a good 90 minutes?

    Pitch Invasion

i remember in 2005 there was a lot of warnings not to invade the park if celtic clinched the league at fir park on the final day. it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if skippy hadn't sent all the tims home before the final whistle.

    Points Tally...

have you adjusted for 3 points for a win vs 2 points? it's a great total but i think getting 60 points in 2007-08 was a better achivement. the league as a whole was stronger and we took points off the old firm when they were both doing very well in europe.
