erwin's build reminds me of a young lee mcculloch.

you think we're only going to sign a goalie and one outfielder? hollis, stewart hammell, hutchinson, ramsden, zfa, cummins, murray lasley, carswell, lawson, vigurs, sutton, mchugh, erwin, moore. we need another two players just to make up the match day 18 ffs!

good signing. sutton will score 15 goals next season no problem. think back to his goals in the win over celtic, the comeback at tynecastle, the cup quarter final at tannadice and the semi, he has the ability and being back at fir park will hopefully revitalize him. in his two years at hearts he had to deal with paulo sergio who didn't give him a chance and mcglynn who is an utter tool and made those comments about him in a press conference. he should be desperate to get back playing and prove a point, i expect to see a hungry player. we still need a goalie, a right back not named frazer, a right winger, another striker and probably another attacker who can play wing or up front for a bit of cover. so at least another 5 players and a replacement for hutchy if he goes.

we scored 3 goals with jenno in the team at pittodrie in january 10. 3 wins out of 3 up there with jenno. I can think of quite a few great attacking performances with the two them in the team: 3 nil against hearts at home twice, gubbing united in the cup quarter final replay, the two wins at tynecastle under brown when we played them off the park and 5 nil at home to st johnstone. We were a better possesion team back then compared to the counter attacking style we saw last season.

where jenno would have come in handy would be games like st mirren at home and the first two games at pittodrie. the cup game in particular i think we would see out no problem with jenno on the park.

there were plenty of duff games last season. possibly more than the 3 seasons preceding.

mcghee giving bob malcolm a second contract in the summer of 2008 was his worst move. sheridan was decent away from home but rank at fir park for some reason.

actually looking like a footballer on a couple of occasions isn't doing enough to say he contributed. if mccall had given him a 3 year deal rather than 2 i'd be calling for him to be sent cockle picking when we're down in morecambe.

he didn't look like a right back when he was played there up at dingwall his hour in centre mid was a disaster as well. the guy can do a job for us at centrehalf but doesn't have the mobility or skill to play anywhere else.

ramsden at right back is a last resort. we should be able to pick up a proper full back on the cheap.

if they are paying out £1.7m a year in player wages there has to be a few of them near 3 grand a week.

was he not doing corporate hospitality similar to stevie kirk at fir park. I hated hateley as a player but he came across well at the panel night with gannon, brown and mccart.

sutton scored 17 in his final season with us which is good going when you recall that he didn't always start under brown. I'm confident we'd get 15 goals out him but we'll still need another striker with a bit of pace.

if we are going to wait on him we wiil have to put money aside in the budget that can't be spent on new players. i would rather we used all our funds to try and get the best team possible for europe.

hateley has been a very good player for us and it'll be very difficult to replace him with someone who is as good on the ball. having two fullbacks who are technically very good players has been a big part of our success recently.

i know what you mean but as i put in the shout box earlier luke daniels who was also on loan here just signed a new two year deal at west brom despite being at the club for 9 years already and never playing a single game for them. epl clubs seem happy to pay for keepers they have no intention of ever using. nielsen obviously got his foot in the door at man city because of mark hughes and i think it's safe to say that there are often reasons beyond footballing ability as to why some players get contracts eg andy roddie, casagolda, john davies, steve mcdonald, paul keegan and the cypriot and further from home bebe at man u or kerkar at rangers.

But then they panicked when there was actually a chance they might have to play him and applied to the FA for special dispensation to sign another keeper.
