no fishing here. i just want some more signings for positions we are lacking in and am underwhelmed by some of the players we have brought in and extensions given out. quite a lot of people commented that our squad looks unbalanced last night which it shouldn't be considering mccall has had a lot of opportunity to rebuild. we've currently got 6 centrehalves and no wingers.

when we had a settled side and a good preseason under brown we gave europe a decent go. having only brought in one striker, no wingers and no right back at this stage is disappointing imo.

it's a bit pointless working hard to get into europe then going into the games without a hope of getting through because you haven't made the neccesary signings. we didn't have many ideas going forward and i heard it was the same on saturday, lasley wide left ffs! without faddy or someone else who offers creativity or pace we'd have no chance against any seeded team.

i wouldn't be happy going into the european games with the players we put out last night.

have hearts had their 15 points off?

we're a missing a right winger (and a right back) rather than any particular players.

good summary of the game but i thought lawson let his man run off him for their second goal. haven't seen it on tv though.

the estonian worked hard but didn't link up at all. Zaine and faddy made a big difference and i thought carswell played well. Struggling to see what lawson will offer unless we play 4-5-1. Right back is an issue

we've got nothing up front, no pace in midfield and look shaky at the back but apart from that we're doing well. Good strike from vigurs but he reminds me of forbes. We need faddy plus a right back, a right winger and a striker.

we'd take 10,000 no problem

if we sign them then it will be great. it's just worrying that we might have put all our eggs in the one basket with two players who you would expect to get offers we can't match.

you've pulled out two trialists from the last ten years. How many bodies have we had in that time that didn't work out? We should obviously always be on the lookout for gems to compliment the squad but when we're needing guys to put a starting lineup on the field there should be a bit more planning going on. What if all the trialists turn out to be pish which is what usually happens? I think we are paying the price for mccall's daliance with sheff utd followed by the scotland trip followed by his holiday.

dunfermline and dundee have highlighted the gap between the first and the spl. Ross county only kicked on when they got rid of most of their haddy first division defenders. St mirren almost got relegated because lennon thought he could use cowdenbeath players. If you playing for a team that got relegated from the 1st duvision recently chances are you're shite.

craig reid looks a real prospect. Relegated with qots two seasons ago and managed to ship five goals to dundee last season in the cup. This better be a wind up.

aye it was awful when our defence was able to keep a clean sheet on a regular basis.

surely no one is stupid to have a transfer policy where you go for experienced internationalists and if they knock you back poach players from morton? Mcmanus would be a great signing. If hutchy goes i'd happily see him paired with cummins.

i don't really see the point of signing another centrehalf that can also play right back. Mccall badly needs faddy to sign

to surmise. he almost killed an accies player. he dives. he shits himself. his maw is a mattress. we hate him, he hates us.

good to see a few shocks. any team that knocks out a seed in round two will be on the seeded side of the draw in round three so we might luck an easier tie that way.

that's my day ruined

she obviously didn't explain it very clearly to the guy from the herald either

tony mowbray gave an interview yesterday saying that boro wanted to get rid of mcdonald due to his 30k a week wages but understandably mcdonald isn't willing to give up any of the money he is due so it is diffucult to move him on. It would be quite a development if he went from holding out for the full 3m remaining on his contract to going on trial with us in less than 24 hours.

aye he gave up 30 grand a week at boro to come back to fir park, he says we're the only club he ever wanted to play for.

nijholt went to swindon. van der gaag went to utrecht.

he should get himself involved in the nijmegen marches to get into shape for their preseason.
