I was never a fan of his when he was manager, I liked him as a player but there was always something just a little bit off about him.. he does make some horrible claims there right enough but it’s pretty obvious he’s always been a bit of a conspiracy theorist about himself. There’s been many people associated to him who have said this throughout his career, notable people have said this and not just faceless internet posts. So I do think there’s weight to it. it is a shame he’s out the game but he’s not the only one, the football scrap heap is a big one for managers on the wrong side of 60.

Odonnell is an excellent professional and at no point in the years he’s played with us have I doubted his effort or doubted his willingness to be here. (We’ve had a lot of players who would be happy to be elsewhere and defenders not as good as him, who have been loved by fans). im ok with him signing, i think he is a decent player and worth keeping.

I think you are all forgetting how qualified carver is and his experience gained from a 113 game career with Gateshead Utd. carver as well as Clarke have the same attitude, extremely negative, extremely sour on anyone having any sort of drive about them as a player and really arrogant to their own abilities. Lennon said nothing wrong and what he said should be admired but I’d take a wild guess and say that carver and Clarke did t like the comment and won’t give him a game, or if they do they will give him 1min on the park at the end as a punishment to clip his wings. we need new people in charge at Scotland.

Me as well. Terrible game, total lack of football. Robinsons teams are a horrible watch.

8 weeks for a wrist break is mental. Let’s be honest we’ve forked out a reputed £250k plus decent wages on this fella and it’s been a disaster. We can’t really afford to write off a big buy for the season but I just hope he is fit by the summer and gets a full pre season and contributes next year. I think he did show in flashes that he has something…. It’s not as if he’s a John Henry or anything. But AP has caused us more frustration than anything else this year.

He’s just been called up to the Scotland squad. For an 18yr old to be picked by Steve Clarke for the national squad, that is incredible. well deserved and I hope he gets to show people what he can do at that level.

It does look like quite a bit of noise over Lyon and an £8m bid for Lennon? that would be an incredible bit of business and a potentially brilliant move for the boy to a league where he will develop further. if we could get a decent sell on clause, even better.

I actually don’t think it’s purely football related. I think some of our pro union thinking supporters think that when some of us have a go at Rangers and their Union Jack waving, god save the king, drum bangers, that they take this as a personal slight on them and their beliefs. i think we have a large number of pro Scotland/ pro independence supporters at the club and for some reason a minority of our pro union fans think some of us are pro Celtic……. Speaking as a pro independence supporter,(sorry if that annoys anyone) I can’t stand either Rangers or Celtic, but I do get a bit of sick in my mouth when I see the butchers apron (Union Jack) But I do think anyone who has the urge to post on this forum clearly does so as they are Motherwell fans through and through and I don’t believe anyone hates teams more than they love our side…. As that’d be mental.

We need Maswanhise on…. Just an outlet with some pace and energy
-
I think we got away with one there?

We need to make a change. Maswanhise has to come on. We need a bit of urgency

Great chance for Thomson. I’m not convinced it was off either

I think we look really comfortable here and really dangerous when we break. We aren’t playing 100mph like we did on Wednesday either. I’m hoping we’ll have more in the tank for the 2nd half. so refreshing having a foreign manager who doesn’t sh@t himself when we play this mob.

Yeeesssseeeeeeeeassssssss

We need to watch every challenge now that we are a goal up. Any opportunity to flash a red and that ref will do it.

Get fkn in. Into this scum Motherwell!!!
-
Is 3mins too early to take Balmer off.

Such a fkn weird club, surely they’re “normal” fans …. There must be some..,, must cringe at this? I wonder how much in tax should have been paid but wasn’t in the EBt years. That money might have helped swell the coffers of a depleted few regiments.

I hadn’t been impressed in the slightest with the goalie but I thought he did really well on Wednesday and you are right, his distribution was good. i was just behind wimmer in the main stand and he’s very vocal and agitated at the side of the park. Sometimes I’m not sure that’s a good thing as the players looked confused at times but I do like the bloke. It’s clear he is impressed by miller as well as every time he did something well on the park (which was a lot on Wednesday) Wimmer would turn round and smile at his assistant. It was good to see.

I saw that at the end as well, I wasn’t sure what was going on but it looked like Thomson was crying? Might be wide of the mark but I think he looked upset rather than it being any exchange of words between him and the manager
-
Hope his family don’t read it…. Don’t want him going in the huff, having a cry and resigning.

Just in. Have to say I really enjoyed that game tonight. First half was the best we’ve played all season. Dundee were the better side in the 2nd half and deserved their goal but we showed some guts to get back into it immediately. the players who id pan normally were excellent. I thought odonnell and Halliday deserve credit tonight, both did a great job. Armstrong had a tough shift up front himself but that boy works his ar5e off. great 3 points and takes a bit of heat off.
