  1. Sitter from Hendry. You really expect any player never mind a striker to nod that in
  2. Get in AP….. that might not count tho as it’s a penalty 🤣😜
  3. I think Maswanhise is great but his touch is awful, he sort of stumbles past folk as well but he is really effective at times.
  4. Interesting selection, one I won’t criticise due to me thinking pre Hibs game, that it was the wrong team. On one hand I’m a wee but disappointed with Welsh dropping to bench with how well he’s been playing with McGinn but on the other hand we are bringing in good players who I would presume are fresh and eager to do well.
  5. Halliday mentioned it on that podcast thing he does.
  6. A few weeks ago I’d have been looking forward to this one and another globetrotter performance but I’m unsure why I have a bit of trepidation about this one? The players just seemed a wee bit off if on Tuesday. Hopefully we go with an attacking formation and blow them out the water and they can all go to their Xmas night out in Dublin in high spirits.
  7. Ok a wee but tongue in cheek but really? Have we seen any standout teams in the league? We’ve had the better of Hearts twice but just lacked a cutting edge on Saturday and Rangers have no identity and are woeful. Celtic have improved under ONeill but I see this Nancy guy being a Russell Martin clone. last night was our poorest performance (in the league) yet we still came away with a point from an inform side, difficult to beat, on a terrible surface. I think we’ve had continual improvement all season and I think we should be aiming higher than just finishing top 6.
  8. Welsh and McGinn again for me. Picked McGinn on Saturday and Welsh tonight. both at the top of their game at the moment.
  9. Worst performance of the season. In saying that it’s against a team who is hard to play against, on a terrible park, so I’ll accept a point JBA should roast a few of them and we should expect better on Saturday
  10. Wee Priestman hasn’t been good tonight.
  11. Sparrow is doing ok and is creating a bit. I’d get that Hendry off of there, he’s brutal
  12. Fair play to Falkirk though, they’ve been really aggressive and we are struggling a bit. I’m hoping with our extra day recovery we will wear them down in the 2nd half
  13. Yip, not been impressive tonight, not dealt with their pressing at all. we’ll see how the second half goes but I’d like to see us at least looking like we might get a goal.
  14. It’s difficult playing against a team doing everything at 1000mph. Doesn’t help much when we do get it up front and Hendry and Maswanhise can’t control it and lose possession.
  15. First time this season that I feel we are second best to everything. I’m hoping Falkirk burn out.
  16. What an absolute shambles at Accies, it’s been mismanaged for years and I really feel for them. For them to be punted out of Hamilton and playing in Cumbernauld and Clyde to be playing in Hamilton is an absolute sh1t show. I’ve never had any issue with Accies even though I know they don’t particularly like us. I hope they pull through this but it does not look good.
  17. Not to turn this into a Scotland discussion but the centre backs Clarke turns to are utterly brutal. Hanley, Hendry, Souttar and McKenna and Porteous before them….. are all an absolute hazard. Welsh is a much more accomplished player than any of these guys but as you say, Clarke wants centre half’s to win headers, block challenges and launch it….. technically clever and good footballing defenders are not his thing. if he does want those no nonsense types of centre half’s the 2 guys at Hearts are better than any of his go to guys above.
  18. They are sitting 2nd bottom of that championship but they do have some useful players, it’ll not be easy. Docherty isn’t that bad a manager either. we’ll see how are January form is but if we play as we can it should be progression to the next round
  19. Home tie, excellent could have been worse.
  20. I disagree, I found his comments really refreshing and honest and I think he was trying to indicate to the fans why he put out that initial selection? As to be honest I think I wasn’t in the minority thinking “why is he playing this selection “ before the game. I think it shows he has confidence as well… I liked it. the only downside I see is that we have such a pig headed dinosaur Scotland manager, who will now not pick any Motherwell players as our manager has slagged off one of his “boys” who he will select and play regardless of form, and humiliate us again for the world to see in next years World Cup.
  21. Take that back actually…. Falkirk in the final 30mins have been excellent. Can’t believe they haven’t won that game. a draw is good for us though, can’t complain.
  22. Falkirk aren’t playing very well which is good with our game coming up and rangers are huffing and puffing. As you say a draw would be ideal
  23. I’ve just watched that hibs v Celtic game and I’m half way through the Falkirk v rangers game and no one can tell me otherwise that we don’t play better football than this lot. Trying hard to keep my claret and amber specs off here but if it wasn’t for Celtic having Maeda and Hatate (when he fancies it) we could really challenge if we get a bit of luck and stay injury free.
  24. He can’t stand Motherwell, I think he was knocked back for our managers post years ago and has never gotten over it. its always the same group of people and ex players and ex managers that have a pop at us. You know them a mile off, hoof ball ex managers (and current ones such as Robinson who made derisory comments) ex players who had little technical ability, Dodds, Craigan etc etc and the press who are best mates with the haddy Scottish managers, who have failed us for years. I think we are getting good general press by current players and players who have maybe recently retired who are aware that football needs to change in this country. We can’t run about headless elbowing folk and sliding into tackles anymore at the top level, that’s what junior football is for.
