  1. We blew it 2 weeks ago against Thistle, the wind blew right out our arses that day!! That was the end of our glorious comeback!! It's all about preparing the team for 2 play off games now, next 3 games are about getting players fit again and being able to play a high tiempo game against whoever wins the championship play off......and its no cert who we'll play either, QOTS on an artificial park is not something I relish!!
  2. We'll get 6 points out a possible 15. Play-offs ahead.....time to deal with it!!
  3. Thistle are a poor lot but they fought for every ball today and deserved their win. We were beyond shambolic. We lost the first goal due to Macdonald being stuck in left mid giving away a needless foul, then followed by defending that wouldn't be accepted at under 11 level. £22 today to watch that gutless performance is hard to take, the players let us down "again" today.
  4. Speaking as someone with 2 young boys who struggles to get them out the house and away from the xbox when its pissin down and freezing outside, I firmly believe summer football is a must for the future supporters of our club. Most of their wee mates are exactly the same!! They have too many options in the modern world and sitting Baltic and miserable at Fir Park is not high in their options list. I think summer football would work and would love to see it happen!!
  5. I'm so glad you're here to keep me right!! I bow to your superior football mind!! I now know my place!! Now kindly go back to your Football Manager game on the Xbox
  6. Feel sorry for big Gunner, he wasn't given a fair crack with us!! He'll end up doing well elsewhere, good luck to him!!
  7. I don't care what anyone thinks, Ramsdens not arsed!! his pal MCall is gone and he' seeing out the season!!
  8. Best performance of the season, loads of guts and effort!! wee Macdonald was outstanding!! I will glaze over the defences limitations for now but much better!! heard Baraclough on the radio delighted but saying the players will be in tomorrow!! Good on him!!
  9. That rings bells actually, I take it back!! I seem to remember gannon giving Jordan Halsom his debut as well at park head! His lunacy knew no bounds! Good luck to baraclough and the boys, a point would be astounding!
  10. Fair play to Baraclough even if we are pumped tonight!! First time I've heard a Motherwell manager be positive about getting a result against the mould firm since Gannon.
  11. Pearson was one of the best youngsters I've seen coming through at Fir Park!! Pity he ended his employment with us before in such a poor manner. Regardless of this, Football has no morals so quite happy to see a Good creative midfielder for once this season, so welcome back Pearo!!
  12. Totally correct mate, I have no doubt the benefit of yoga will help prevent niggles & injuries etc I just felt slightly concerned at Baracloughs press conference yesterday, that he was talking himself up as some type of forward thinking guru manager when the majority of clubs have been doing this for 10 years!! I just hope this is not the full extent of his new fitness regime!!
  13. Just hope today wasn't a wasted day off for the players, I hope Baraclough has them in for an extra Yoga session, possibly get them in tomorrow for some Football golf!! should sort the men out from the boys!!
  14. Imo Nielsen is our best goalie and was so last year as well, I don't think he's been given a fair crack at it with us. He made a few blunders last year but so do all keepers who are new to a club, if he had a good run of games I think we would have seen a better than average keeper!! Plenty of clubs down south wanted him and Man City wanted to keep him, i'm pretty sure the scouting system and coaches there know more than the people on this forum!!
  15. Cant help but think he's a bit Gannon-esque!! Quite happy with this, the whole place needs a shake up!! Good luck to him.
  16. Would love to see us go for someone like Van De Gaag or Maaskant, the club needs a new direction and the majority of the support desire something a bit different!! I think i'm in the minority of never rating Van Der Gaag as a player, I just remember the club forking out 1/4m on him and every time he played, which wasn't often, he made a howling mistake which cost us the game!! His time at the club was salvaged due to the free kick against Dunfermline that kept us up!! I'd welcome him back as manager tho, hopefully he wont tell us how much he learnt from Mcleish as manager!
  17. This foreign consortium thing is scaring the life out me!! Just keep thinking Airdire / Steve Archibald / Spanish consortium = KNACKERED!!
  18. On the plus side with Adams he'd probably bring his father back as chief scout. We may get some decent young players coming through the ranks again!!
  19. I have it on good authority Davies does not want the job, he will be the next SEVCO manager when the fat sports direct dude takes full control!!
  20. Gary McAllister's name hasn't been mentioned, Good contacts down south, ex 'Well man, experience of managing a club with no money. Knows the game quite well up here due to the BT sports gig!! worth a punt??
  21. Totally agree with this, Managers are a different animal to players (although Davies was apparently a greedy little fecker so he may be ruled out) Coyle's whole career has never been money driven and a club like Motherwell may suit him.
  22. Would struggle to mentally cope with someone like Leitch, Black, Calderwood, Shiels or Craigan in charge!! I fear it would push me over the edge!! would love to see a sober Burley in charge, Owen Coyle would be great but wage could be an issue or I would accept Mcghee back although he is a bit of a sac.
  23. Nice statement from McCall, was never a huge fan, probably due to my dislike of all things Rangers but he's done an undoubted good job with us. It is a shame it went a bit baws up this season but it was always going to happen regardless of what manager was in charge!! The very best of luck to him and I wish him all the best at Palace (as i'd imagine its lined up). Possibly get a few Crystal Palace reserve players up to gain match experience!!
  24. Famous last words but much happier with the look of the team tonight, Reid and Law not in the starting line up and we look quite attacking!! if we cant get a win tonight against a depleted St Johnstone, then we are well and truly F**D
