capt_oats
The Thomas signing was weird to begin with. I think he was signed because it didn't look like we were going to get Marvin Johnson. Then we ended up with both + Tony "The Messiah" Straker in the same window. Â I don't even think he was in the 20s team at the end of his time with us. Â Going by his stats Thomas played, in total, 106 mins of football for us that season. 1 start and 1 sub appearance and made the bench twice without getting on. Then he just seemed to be disappeared. His deal, according to the statement at the time, was til end of season with an option for an extra year so it doesn't seem a huge leap to take in thinking he was a punt/fall back for Johnson. If I remember correctly Johnson was announced at the last minute. I reckon if Johnson had signed earlier we'd never have went near Thomas. Â Then again Baraclough's signing policy was a bit fucking mental so who knows, really.

Well-Made
Looks like Erwin is on his way out of Leeds  http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/05/17/do-report-charlton-athletic-could-offer-lee-erwin-a-leeds-united/    Report: Charlton Athletic could offer Lee Erwin a Leeds United Escape Danny Owen@danny8195 12 hours ago  Lee Erwin has barely been given a chance at Leeds United but he would surely feature more regularly at Charlton Athletic.  Lee Erwin is far from the first player to struggle in England after making his name above the border, with the Scottish Premiership’s all-time top scorer Kris Boyd and St Johnstone prospect Stevie May among those who failed to recapture the magic in the Championship. Leeds United nonetheless saw enough potential in the young striker to pluck him from Motherwell in the summer of 2015, however, as reported by the BBC. This is despite the fact that he’d scored just five goals in 34 games the previous season. Leeds, clearly, were investing in potential. Two years on, however, Erwin is yet to deliver on that initial promise. The 6ft 2ins front man has made just 12 goalless appearances in Leeds colours and recently spent the entirety of the season at League One strugglers Oldham Athletic. And the third tier is where he could remain. Kent Live report that Charlton Athletic are interested in handing Erwin a change of scenery. He has proved his worth in League One, netting eight goals for the side with by far the worst attacking record in the division.  He certainly has the potential to offer a different dimension to Charlton’s attack, perhaps even as foil for ten-goal hit man Josh Magennis as manager Karl Robinson aims for the top six next season. Leeds included Erwin on their ‘retained list’ on Wednesday while simultaneously releasing former Charlton loanee Jordan Botaka. The question, however, is whether manager Garry Monk will give him a chance to prove himself as Leeds cry out for a striker to take the pressure off Chris Wood. That would be quite a strange one if true as Randolph was rewarded with a new four year contract not long after cementing the number one spot, I know he lost his place at the end of the season though so maybe a change of heart from Bilic.
