I never looked that closely tbh, but i agree it does have a definite whiff of a piss take about it, but given the shambles Rangers are in nothing would surprise me. weeyin
I thought you had to throw them a few million quid every 6 months before they let you join the Board there.

It's been obvious for years now there has been some dodgy financial dealings going on there and, as always, it's the fans that get screwed over. I play golf with a die hard Accies fan and he predicted in September they only had about a month till they would go bust. His timeline was a bit out but not by much. He only attends away games now, the move to Cumbernauld was a final straw for him and quite a few others. Hopefully it is administration and they can recover in some form. mio
What an absolute shambles at Accies, it’s been mismanaged for years and I really feel for them. For them to be punted out of Hamilton and playing in Cumbernauld and Clyde to be playing in Hamilton is an absolute sh1t show. I’ve never had any issue with Accies even though I know they don’t particularly like us. I hope they pull through this but it does not look good. fizoxy
It's scary how this situation could materialize at just about any club, where a dodgy owner loses the run of themselves, or internal politics strangle a club. Even owners/execs with best of intentions can royally screw things up. What has happened at Accies over the last few years is just a whole other level though. How it took until now to deem their owner and chief execs as not fit and proper to run a football club beats me.

Total sliding doors moment that one, and ill never get over the "but he's American" of it all. Right now we could all be talking about the finale of an epic Netflix series titled "Steelmen: Stuart Kettlewell's initial remarks, pt 22"
weeyin
Forget the sheep, tame or wild. John Boyle nearly finished us off, and he was on our side.

I dont think any of Boyles actions, decisions etc were made with any malicious or fradulent intent, for me it was just naievety and a lack of understanding of the particular environment re football in west central scotland. Spending money we could not afford in chasing a dream we were never going to realise.

Malice or incompetence in the single-owner model can be equally disastrous, though, which is why I am more comfortable with the current setup, even with all its challenges. I ended up interconnected with another 'boyle enterprise' and believe me, he's fucked up a lot more than just Motherwell and Zoom airlines. Well meaning maybe, no very good at stuff, definitely. (Obviously caveated by the fact that he made a fortune with direct holidays, but his brother was in the driving seat for that one).
