I see Ross County fans are complaining about results and especially entertainment value. They're not happy bunnies. I can't think why.

A few comments over at P&B that sum up the feelings of the County fans, but this one seems the most familiar:

"Wherever this shit-show ends up it can't be Kettlewell next season. It really can't. The only plan for getting up the pitch is half-winning a 50-50 by nudging the ball forwards and then hoping to win the next 50-50. And repeat until we lose one of these contests. There are no passes, just nothing that looks like a County player spotting someone who is open to receive the ball.

The worst possible outcome would be to somehow stay up and rewarding him with a new contract."

Kettlewell is a fraud. We all know this.

Maybe this will be the season where he is finally found out. Although, given the jobs for the boys approach still prevelant in the Scottish game it's just as likely he'll either get a new contract at County or be quickly employed elsewhere.

The Motherwell, Killie and County fans certainly know the score:

"As for Kettlewell, I wouldnt want him to be given the gig next season no matter what happens.  I'm not convinced there is a manager there at all"

Maybe potential future employers will finally catch on.

Very sorry to learn of the passing of Willie Watson at the age of 76. Condolences to his friends and family. He was a real stalwart in the best Well side that I've seen.

My abiding memory of him was in that famous 1977 cup game at Fir Park when we defeated St Mirren 2-1. He moved in to tackle Bobby Torrance, who under instruction from Alex Ferguson leapt 7 feet into the air and landed in a heap rolling about in mock agony. The only problem was that Willie was wise to this tactic and stopped short without actually making the challenge.

RIP Willie.

Always remember him as a strong, dependable defender who had played in the Man. Utd. first team in the early 70s (recently saw  a game on YT).

He scored an unusual  (and winning) goal at Firhill in the cup replay against Partick Thistle in Feb 1975 before our Great Airdrieonians Disappointment (as usual we had an extremely rare application of the laws when Stuart Rennie was supposed to have overstepped the 18 yard line when he launched a kick-out): STNC 👹.

Thanks for the memories, Willie.
