Last post by:
We need a forward to ensure we have a shot of a European tour. I'd love a tour again. Give me a tour. Gime a Toure!
C&A not the shop
Just saw Burrows say on Twitter in a reply to a question about any transfers that: "We’ll have to wait. There are a few moving parts at the moment, so I couldn’t say 100% atm." So no real update but I can see at least one outgoing (Sloth) and one in (a striker). real dosser
CSKA Sofia letting Tony Watt leave for nothing this window. Big guy, plays up front. ? Should we be interested

Should we be interested He's not exactly the 20 goals a season striker Robinson says he'd like. The stats read 14 goals total in the five and a half seasons he's played in the Scottish leagues. C&A not the shop
I'd take Tony Watt if hes fit. Hes a decent player, not as good as hes hyped up to be but still a good enough player.

Id rather have Curtis Main back on loan than Tony Watt, but ideally someone who could also score goals.
Busta Nut
All the feed back on Tony Watt is that he is great at the holding the ball up part. I dunno tbh I can't mind but that is what the St Johnstone fans are saying, sounds ideal if so.

Watts goal returns are hardly startling. If we are looking to improve the squad Im not sure Watt is the man. Happy to be proved wrong though. weeyin
I think he's been dining out on the "scored the winner against Barcelona" for a few years. When he played for St Johnstone I don't remember thinking "I wish we'd signed him" so I'd need some convincing.
fizoxy
He’s half decent. Maybe we can sign him until Lafferty is available again.
Wellfan1984
According to Sky Sports we've told Hull to bolt over a £750k bid for Scott...
Neilwell86
Even if it's the sort of money we are after, which it shouldn't be....at least a million in my opinion, with Chris long out maybe it leaves us even thinner up top with only a day left of the window. Much like Carson a few years ago, not enough time to replace him.
CoF
Fair play to the club. We'd have taken that kind of money a few years ago. Just shows the solid financial footing we're in now.
fizoxy
Hull haven't picked the best time to lowball us. With the league position, the time left on scotts contract, the fact we've brought in money from sales recently, and the decent number of saleable assets we have, we're hardly desperate to sell. Add to that the fact we have no time to replace him, they'd have to offer us silly money.

It’s a balancing act for the club given they have to keep the player happy and Hull are a pretty big club that were in the premier league not that long ago, while holding off for the maximum amount of money they can. Scott though is another player that should stay and develop for another season before he will sadly then move on to a big club down south. I don’t think he’s ready yet. supermarv
I’d be more than happy for us to accept an offer of 1.5 million + add ons and a loan back til the end of the season for James Scott. Good to see we aren’t just accepting anything these days.

Kmcalpin
Its interesting to sit back and watch the usual suspects who are "underperforming" ( Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Ross County, St Johnstone, Hibs, Hearts etc) panicking in the transfer window and desperately signing bodies. Reminscent of the Ian Baraclough era.

steelboy
Great to see us knock back a poor bid for Scott. If he starts hitting the net regularly with the rest of his attributes he will be worth a Turnbull level fee. He just needs a bit more composure in front of goal and better players around him (Turnbull and the striker we are surely signing today).
