Interesting interview.

My takeaway is the lady's not for turning.

What I found interesting is SK refers to different approaches to different matches , reading this outlines how we adapt to the opposition each week and consider conditions , pitch, opposition.

Also that last year we had plaudits for our style of play during the 15 game run without winning re possession entertainment etc.

Some of that is less obvious to me as simple man on the street who cares about my club. It's  lost of me how we adapt each week and I don't remember playing amazing footy during our poor patch last year - I more remember the togetherness and work ethic of the team.

Overall a bit more empathy towards the paying fan would be welcome.

That being said facts are we're 9 points better than this point last season and time will tell if we end up 9 points better by the end of the season.

Basically...shut the fuck up and watch whatever I put in front of you, because you've never kicked a baw properly.

Dangerous road to go down

He answered the question and was pretty much right. It's his job on the line. The tone and the like will bother those that already have something in for him. But by the same token, we slate managers for giving vague answers and saying the same old stuff, and applaud honesty until we disagree with it.

If managers start doing what the fans tell them to we're fucked.

I don't like the way we play either, but think way too much is being made of this.

I don't have high hopes for Saturday, but rarely do, but can already see all the "but entertainment" posts if we manage to grind out 3 points.

The period from now until the day SK leaves is going to be unbearable with everything being overanalyzed.

I said before that Kettlewell had reached his tipping point with us, and he’s only just gone and lit the torch paper on his departing fireworks.

Winning on Saturday would obviously be great, particularly given recent events, but history tells me it will only delay the inevitable.

Just my view but not impressed at all.  He mentions the 15 game run last year,  yup ....lucky he was kept in a job as a lot of clubs would have sacked manager by then. Has had 2 windows since.   Yes the injuries of course are an impact but his tactics and lack of plan b are obvious......also Stuart...remember you are the manager that played 1 striker away to Ross County!!!

Yes there are those that have never liked him but not me. I have given him plenty of praise but I don't kind saying it, I am losing faith in him and his attitude now isn't helping.  I haven't called him insulting names as the guy is a human being but he isn't getting the results and Saturday really is huge test if players are still on his side.

I have generally liked SK throughout his tenure, but he comes across as being on the defensive throughout this interview, as though he's being 'got at' a wee bit - by the media, match officials and supporters. In my opinion, he clearly puts his all into the managerial post and rightly points to the fact we are still in a good league position despite squad injury challenges throughout the season so far. I do however sometimes wonder if they are over-analysing games with the players and would like to see the team just getting back to doing the basics of football well, having watched them struggle badly of late...

I'll support him till the end.. Like I've done with every other Motherwell manager. Robbo had a 9 game winless streak when he walked - but we were tenth then and we are currently fifth. The constant Kettlewell bashing is getting on my every last nerve right now - just a general comment

I haven't been bashing him, I have been very constructive

Who are you aiming this at. People who support Kettlewell? You're calling people who support Kettlewell stupid?

That was a joke.

I thought considering we have had a number of dialogues - you would probably know I am one that has been convicted of being a happy clapper!

Absolutely my man.

In fact you're in a very similar position to myself. Been pretty positive towards Kettlewell but are asking questions now.
No more than that.

You said last week he had one more game before you lost faith in him - and that's ok. You are entitled. But there are people on here who batter him no matter what he does - they want him out. And they've wanted him out for the last 18 months.

I agree, there are those that want him out regardless but I am not one of those. I have given him plenty backing but he needs to turn this round and quick

In such a forum, people should continue to be allowed express their opinions good, bad or indifferent about the manager without being constantly told off like school children.

Very tiresome to read.

Anyways, I probably agree with SKs comments to an extent. That being said, he’s painted a bigger target on his own back 👍🏼

He talks like a condicending (spelling ? ) prick

fuck yous its ma baw n yeez are no playing

wonder what the players will think when the away support drops from 1800 to 400 yours eyes dont lie

It's condescending, but you probably know that, or your autocorrect does.

People are going to take what they want from that interview, but there's nothing objectively controversial in what he said.

The away support is going to drop because it's not a cup game, and also the second visit to the same place in a week, and you know that too.

I will always defend his work ethic , I think he works tirelessly. How good bad or indifferent he makes us everyone will have their personal opinion. I'm afraid I just don't listen to him anymore. He never says anything that changes it for me. He ours until the club decide otherwise. Do I want him sacked ? actually I don't care, it is what it is.  I'm indifferent to him now . I'm bored to tears watching shite and just cant be arsed listening to anything trying to defend it.

Que Sera Sera as the song goes.

Mate - I was happy to do it for the well society and because I've not been out much since I smashed my leg into pieces - something to look forward to as it were. Plus. I get to meet the players too.... *Callum *

Good on you for bidding and winning that particular lot,I hope you enjoy the day when it comes.

Thank you. I will. My mum is coming with me too and I'm also taking her to hospitality for the Ross County game - she deserves it because she did a lot for me when I broke my leg and couldn't do anything for myself.

Just wanted to do something nice for her in return

Something to look forward to and well done you for bidding for it.   On a joking side I look forward to..."you enjoying your starter.....oh and did I ever mention I signed Theo Bair"  lol...just kidding

Ha!!!

My mum said to me - he talks a lot - wait till he meets you!!!

For context - I'm actually quite a quiet person offline but I talk a lot to cover my nerves - he won't get a word in....

His ears will be bleeding - I feel sorry for him already

Not at all.  Enjoy it

Correct. What I did do was refer to Kettlewell as a donkey and exclaimed that he should get to fuck on a fans forum. I didn't perform the act of name-calling him to his face. It's him that gets in peoples faces and shouts like a madman on the touchline.

He's been been getting exasperated, leading to him shouting and getting in the face of officials. He's a marked man and should know better by now. I'm sure he's also suggested that the officials get to fuck at times and called them worse than a donkey or a cabbage or whatever.

His passion isn't to be faulted. However, as a marked man, he needs to better control and express himself as his card count is getting embarrassing now.

No-one suggested that you had called SK anything to his face. The suggestion was that that was how you debated on a forum.

How can you be sure of what SK said? Were you sitting behind him?

He can quite clearly be heard regularly shouting at officials as well as seen remonstrating with them. This can be heard and seen from the stands and on TV. He’s certainly not been carded several times for telling the officials they looked pretty in their kit.

I'll re-itterate.

I sit near him ar Fir Park and can hear pretty much everything he says.

He is loud and animated, gets exasperated at times, throws his hands up in the air and questions decisions but I have never once heard him swear or use foul and abusive language towards any officials.

He just needs to calm down a bit but no different to many other managers on the touchline.
