Obika is good at holding up the ball, Mandron is good at occupying defenders, and Shields has proven he isn’t good enough for the Premiership. Football is a short career, and he may want to look back and say that he's tried his hand in different leagues, and outside his comfort zone. Nothing wrong with that. Personally, I think he would have benefitted from being more of a regular starter here for another season as he enjoyed his most consistent run in the side since Kettlewell took over. Just on Wellfans point, it does seem a bit underwhelming to be linked with the likes of Preston North End and various League One clubs to then land at Harrogate. I think (and this applies to Max Johnston as well) wherever he ends up, if he wants to develop then he needs to be playing regular football. Could be that he'd develop more playing for Harrogate Town 30 times next season than sitting on Preston North End's bench (or in their stand) and making 7 sub appearances...
