Who cares? Theyโ€™re in it, weโ€™re not.

Two years on the trot being knocked out by Championship sides at this stage of the Scottish Cup. Itโ€™s just not good enough.

Chucking balls up to obika and mugabi who just gives fouls a way is beyond a joke, out to lower league opposition again, let's not hear from anybody at the club anytime soon how skint we are.

Utter brutal performance, Kelly is rotten, whole team let the big crowd down today, no excuses, werenโ€™t in the game until the last five minutes. Players need to hang their heads in shame, simple not good enough, long balls to strikers that canโ€™t jump.

I've been a big supporter of Kettlewell in general but trying to hoofball your way through a side that were there to battle is just a pathetic approach. Their midfield was everywhere and ours was static. They did their homework and executed it well. We played right into their hands. Pathetic performance.

Got what we deserved. Yet again our captain sets the tone for our performance. The guy is ment to be an experienced goalkeeper, training with international coaches and goalies, yet cannot command his six yard box.

Shameful performance. To get beat is one thing, but to be out battled is another.ย

Was a reply to wonder how theyโ€™ll get on in the next roundย

ย

whoever they get will pump them ( which shows the level weโ€™re at )

Oh well, beaten by 2 mistakes, ie, Kelly and Mcginn. Didn't get to grips with the physical side of the game, so just park it and move onto the league. No doubt the sack the manager guys will be on all night, but in reality, do they ever go away. Its Motherwell, we move on.ย

I have supported Motherwell for 60 plus years

ย When I was 9 we went to Ibrox and won 5-2 then lost 1-0 at home to Airdrie I should have realised then that it was not worth it. All the hype after the Ross Co game, you just knew we would be let down.

Not a shock,it was always a going to be difficult, we didn't perform and weren't good enough, result against county papered over the cracks,we are where we are,the league position doesn't lie,we are poor,we're out and league survival is our objective, close season we need big decisions on our future, ambition, finance as a club.

The sooner kelly is gone the better and chucking them in for a new club the better, what he was attempting at the first goal is a mystery and his distribution is god awful.

Only sliver of hope was Adam Devine

Terrible in every area of the pitch. ย Players didn't even have a touch most of the time. ย No intensity either. No physical or mental toughness.

Why we insisted on playing long balls against a team that won every physical contest I'm not sure.

Two mistakes? There wasnโ€™t a success in that entire team or performance tonight.ย

Itโ€™s all well and good saying โ€œmove onto the leagueโ€ but the Cup gives us our only opportunity of potentially achieving something in the game. Or at the very least giving the club and the support something of a lift and a reason to look forward. But yet again we fail miserably early on in the competition against a lower league side for the second year running.

Its not acceptable.

I agree. League survival is the main thing.ย

Kelly should have been dropped weeks ago. If he doesn't get dropped after tonight's performance Kettlewell should hang his head in shame.ย

I agree. Sadly. But I feel for him in the respect that he's clearly lost confidence.ย

It was the worst kind of setup for us. They were happy to sit deep. Clearly they've watched us and plan A, B and C has been to play the ball behind the opposition defence for Bair to use his pace. Leave no space behind and we don't have anyone to unlock a defence. Maybe a winger who could go past a man would have been useful in this situation?ย

Even at that, the greater concern would be how simple long balls in the air were causing so many problems..

A bad night at the office...
