We can’t let them settle and take control of the game. As players their nerves will be jangling after that Aberdeen defeat so we need to be in their faces from the off and just try and keep possession of the ball.

dont like to get over excited but we do have a chance here. I’m not sure whether I want chief zombie clement fired now or him kept for Sunday. My gut is for him to stay and we’ll be his final nail in the coffin.

I would prefer Clement to stay.

New Manager bounce and all that.

They clearly aren't fully turning up for him and there is probably a bit of dressing room discontent there at the minute.

Its still a tough ask, but not insurmountable.

If we take the lead their fans will turn on them and I'm not completely sure of their character.

Its not like they have a Barry Ferguson, a McGregor, or even I guess a Jimmy Bell in the background to put a rocket up them.

Hopefully its another "Disappointed" post-match quote from Tavenier.

Need a strong performance (and a strong ref) though.

Never saw whole game last night so not sure how individual players done but if Seddon and Wilson looked comfortable then I would go with below assuming SOD is injured. I also feel Halliday experience will be needed.

                             Ox

        Casey.         Gordon.        Balmer

Kaleta.                                         Seddon

         Miller.          Halliday.        Wilson

                 Stama.    Maswanhise

We also have options on the bench fir example Sparrow to replace Halliday when he reaches blowing oot his behind after 60 mins.     We will never have a better chance but we need to be on top form and can't allow Gers to dictate

Id play Sparrow from the start with Miller in the middle and bring Halliday on later when we need an experienced head to close the game out.

But SK obviously rested Halliday last night as he intends to play him on Sunday so you are probably not far away with that.

I hope its not going to be a return to Davor and Halliday in the middle with Miller further forward again, as that would be a step back imho.

I think the last 2 games should have shown SK how important legs and energy are in midfield the way we set up.

Can see this being a “brave effort” type of game on Sunday as we lose narrowly. Rangers losing a game right before we are due to play them never ends well for us and I think we’d need to score at least twice to have any chance as we will concede as well.

Going for a ‘gallant’ 2-1 loss and their winner to come from a late penalty.

Be interesting to see what starting 11 and formation/tactics SK starts with on Sunday. He certainly has options after some good individual performances last night. I would think Manhaswise has played himself into starting 11 thru the middle (can always move home wide if we bring Moses on) Wilson showed very well in Midfield.

Nick Walsh is the referee for this. For every free kick he gives us in the final third of the pitch I'll donate £20 to charity.

We sat off them at Hampden earlier in the season and conceded early. When we put more attacking emphasis on them in the second half we caused plenty of problems but a great save denied us a point late on. I know it was a  closed door friendly but we pumped a strong Gers side on the international break over a month ago.

Aberdeen showed us last night what to do, the side contain the likes of Barron, Souttar, McAusland et al some absolute guff compared to the quality we have beat convincingly in the past.

That's same team I'd pick Grizzly. Miller and halliday 2 sitting midfielders with wilson slightly forward on left and maswanhise closer to apstam on right. If sods is fit he will play instead of balmer I think.

They still have better players than us but they are certainly fragile and other than celtic our other 3 defeats have only been by 1 goal so I am certainly expecting a really tight game.

Wee maswahanise and miller can certainly provide match winning moments so I'm as confident as can be expected but still realise we could lose quite easily.

Will be a great day and hopefully great game if we can do it.

Given away by the afformentioned rangurs man halliday so he can watch his heros in a final ( again )

Interesting to hear Kris Boyd earlier claiming Rangers fans won’t want to win on Sunday

I don’t believe this p*sh tbh but on the other hand this semi final has a similar feel to the 2017 game which finished off another manager

Need to get in about this mob and see what happens

SOD confirmed as out on Sunday.

So midfield is really the only question mark.

For me Sparrow has to play, so the only question is, do we play Wilson in midfield and 1 up top or leave him at full back and go 2 up top. Neither have been that successful for our strikers. But I like the control we get with the extra midfielder.

Id go.......

                            Ox

         Balmer  Gordon  Casey

Kaleta                                  Wilson

              Halliday  Miller

     Sparrow            Maswanhise

               Stamatelopoulos

I rather like that set-up but doubt SK would be so revolutionary and attack-minded from the off.

Whatever formation we adopt I agree with many posters that we need be snapping at their heels from the first whistle.

Wilson in midfield was miles better than anything we've seen in there from Sparrow, Halliday and especially Davor.

I like Sparrow but he's got a habit of ball watching when defending.

Great honour for Lennon, but a bit of a blow to have our captain and vice-captain out of such an important game where an old, experienced head or two is valuable.

Aye, I feel for SODs; it would have been his first appearance with a club at Hampden in a game like this, I think. Might have played there in a league cup game.
