Whatever blend of C&A the new kit turns out to be, it will undoubtedly be ruined by some tacky sponsors logo plastered all over it.

Start giving the fans an opportunity to buy a sponsor free version I'm sure it would be a big seller.

The only way to achieve this is to have a kit with no sponsor at all. Who's going to sponsor a kit when their company name isn't on the front? Where's the incentive for them? As much as I agree with you that a sponsor free kit would be great and would sell well I think the loss of sponsorship would be more costly to the club.

Great deal for the fans, terrible deal if you are a shirt sponsor.

And a terrible deal if you are the employee charged with securing sponsors. Money talks sadly. Not sure many fans would opt for the sponsor shirt if they had the option to go sponsor free.

I think they sell kids' tops without sponsor names but that is as far as the leeway goes. Can't have a six year old advertising gambling sites etc I guess. Or alcohol in the good old days.

I’ve heard that the strip is kind of like a continual blend of our colours merging

whatever the hell that means…

maybe that’s like amber flowing gradually down into claret or the other way round

sounds interesting anyway

I actually had the thought this morning that this image of Fadinger might be a bit of a hint for the new kit. That would tie in a little with what you're saying Screenshot_20250529-1639432.thumb.png.a305325fd90af32d097092d13e1329b0.png

Surely the sponsor is paying for their name in the kit worn by the first team to reach customers who are watching the team in the stadium or on tv?

I get that also having everyone of us walking around with their brand on the shirt is additional exposure. But is that really a deal breaker?

We could all pay extra for a shirt without a sponsor logo and that could go to the club to cover any shortfall.

There has to be some way of pricing it to make it happen.

No. Enquire as part of the negotiation if there would be a way of doing it they would be happy with like we did with Paddy Power (albeit I understand their particular type of marketing lent itself to something like that).

Im not suggesting for a minute that it should be a red line for the club. But as a fan owned club, we should at least look to see if there is a way to make it work given a lot of fans would like the option.

Maybe the club do ask the question and just dont broadcast it if sponsors say no?

Wait, you're saying that me wearing the latest shirt while shopping at Wishaw retail park isn't going to help G4Claims land new business?
