We won't get another keeper in at this stage surely. We might as well recall Matty. Ward is surely playing the way JBA wants him to.

I don't think JBA would want Ward to play a style that cost us 3 of last 4 goals conceded.  Feel sorry for Calum but if folk are going to give Stama a hard time for not scoring then ward has to carry can.

However.....feelgood factor under JB is great and give me that style of football ahead of the visiting walloper manager today

Again that wasn't the point I was trying to make. I've seen fans say they think Ward is better suited to this system than Ox - and btw I like Ox

Ward makes simple passes. 5 or 10 yards side or front. He looks anxious every time he played them. It's something ox could do. We need to have the basics of a keeper. Handling balls and not dropping them. Or misjudging them. Stama done well today I thought. Held ball up well and work rate 5 star.

I know me dear, I just think no point having a goalie good with feet but unable to save shots or collect crosses. It's like being in a time machine and back to 1994, great side but woods in goal

Totally grizzly. Rather have you in goals. Keeper should have basic handling skills and judgement for cross balls and shots. Ward has ok reflexes but I'm struggling to see what else. Can't command his area and not great with his feet.

Cheers dude, I am 5'4 but decent player with my feet. But does that make me good goalie? Feck me i still get chipped at 5 a side 🤣🤣🤣

Lol bet you can catch a ball. Ward never had much to do. You could have enjoyed an aperol spritz between saves.  I want to like ward but we can't keep dropping points.

That’s your opinion and you’re entitled to it.

Mine is that I am unconvinced so far.

FFS what will convince you. If you’re unhappy with our lot at the minute, you maybe need to find yourself another hobby …….. or team.

Think he's got a point as we not won in 4. Jury still out. I'm sure most would have expected 3 points today.

We could actually win a match when we’ve played well and the odds are in our favour instead of shooting ourselves in the foot 🤷‍♂️

Try seeing the bigger picture. The football being played is like nothing I’ve watched from a Motherwell team for years. I actually looked forward to going to the game today and I can’t say I’ve had that feeling for a long time. Can’t legislate for a keeper dropping the ball at someone’s feet 3 yards from goal. Someone will get a “doing” shortly.

Win lose or draw this is the most entertained I have ever been at Fir Park. Long may in continue, it’s unbelievably a good feeling going into games with this confidence. Every team we have played this season we have dominated for huge parts of the game.

Might not have fully clicked yet, but I’d much rather be watching this instead of the Ayrshire Kettleball.

For context, I've been watching Motherwell for over 35 years and I've seen much worse starts to the season than this. We got a point against Rangers that wasn't expected. Some fans also didn't think we would get points against St Mirren

I actually feel right now that you can say nothing positive about the manager or the club - that's not a you you by the way - a general you

Am I happy with four points from four - yes I am. Better than zero from four

If you been watching well for 35 years your not a wellgirl. More a well gran 🤨.  I do see positives. And I like manager. I just mainly think he needs new keeper or alternate strategy from playing out from back when we have goal kicks. Let defenders take them or get keeper that's comfortable with it. Or use sweeper system.

The keeper has to be involved in playing it out from the back, which is integral to how this team is set up. What's the alternative - launching it up to who?

Yes agree but need keeper that can do that. Today proved ward can't. He looks out his depth doing it. Never mind basic keeping skills.

I’m not a negative person and I am delighted with the way we are playing but it feels like we have lost games these past two weeks rather than remaining undefeated. I think it’s the manner in which we have dropped the points, through basic costly mistakes. I’m not suggesting we send Ward off to the salt Mines but it would not be unjust if JBA did drop him and try Ox. How many chances do you get?  It’s unfortunate but goalie mistakes are the most costly and you can’t afford to continue having them. Ward has probably made the least amount of mistakes out of all the players but it’s such a unique position and the consequences much more severe when a mistake is made. Likewise, if Ox plays he should have the same accountability.
Probably the fact that it’s cost us points 2 Weeks in a row amplifies the errors. Had they been, say 5 weeks apart, maybe there would be no talk of replacing him with Ox?
