SteelmaninOZ
After the international break A wee trip to Dundee must win Will JBA give OX a game? It would be grand to get the three points. We are playing good football and I think we’re doing ok we are getting a team to match our bowling green pitch as Chris Sutton said in an a recent interview. joewarkfanclub
Dundee looked pretty toothless against United yesterday. But they did defend very well at Ibrox, so could be another 70% possession game with the onus on us to break them down. Wouldnt expect us to lose this one, but a lot will depend on whether we can create more clear cut chances and take enough of them to make sure we can cover any more mistakes at the back. Hopefully Slattery hasnt been sold / isnt badly injured and can be available and Hendry/Said/Osong/RCC are another 2 weeks along the road to full fitness. Id put Ox back in goals. mio
As much as Ward is decent on the deck and a potentially good No2, we need a goalie who can use his hands so I hope Ox is back. touch wood slattery is fit and the international players come back uninjured. striker is a concern for me and I still think AP is the best we have but I’m sure JBA will know more than any of us by watching them in training over the next 2 weeks to make a judgement call. a win is a must

robsterwood
Does look like narrow defeat or draw. Given the forward players they have and our current defence and keeper Possibly depending on transfer window if we get keeper and defender in. Also if injuries persist. Orinoco
This ain't the same Dundee as last season. They have lost alot of good players and are poorer. Like every game it won't be easy, but Dundee being at home, might mean they are more open. Cut out the stupid mistakes and we can win.
wellgirl
I don't see us looking for a keeper. If Ward is dropped Ox will be in goals

They have lost a lot of their better players from last season and Steven Pressley is their manager, he played a 5-4-1 formation on Sunday against Dundee unt and still shipped 2 goals, we will beat them. That's good to know. Just think Murray and Danda have always been good. Suppose we may cause them problems too. Maybe we can get a draw

A draw is the most likely result though, it’s the best we’ll get from this one IMO.

twistandshout1983
Really have to win this one , great football or not we cant be drawing every single game An interesting statistic I seen earlier we also drew the first 4 games in 1995-1996 under big Eck, we went on a seriously bad run I remember that year then in true Motherwell style kept 7 clean sheets in a row 😂 Definetly were not playing as good as now though I do fancy us to get the long awaited league win in September though

Exactly 30 years ago. And guess who we were drawn against in the League Cup Quarter Final? Yip, Aberdeen, albeit at home where we lost 2-1 after extra time. That year we finally got our first win at the very end of September at home when we beat Killie 3-0.
