How JBA wants Ward to play is not the issue here. The problem is Ward's continuing inability to meet one of the fundamental requirements of being a goal keeper, ie catching the ball, how many points does he cost us before he gets benched.

Oh aye, totally get that.

But if we swap Ox in as a safe pair of hands and he ends up giving goals away because he is shite with his feet and JBA  insists he plays out anyway, we really arent any further forward.

Hopefully he is good enough.....

We can probably live with goalkeeping error now and again but unfortunately that’s 2 games in a row where it’s been a major contributor to loosing points. So the frequency and consequences of the mistakes have put a lot of focus there. Had we not dropped points or had they been a few games apart then perhaps there would not be the same impetus to get Ox back in goals.
Personally, I would give Ox a run out but I think JBA will stick with Ward for the Dundee game.

He could now go on a run where he doesn’t make any mistakes for the next 3 months so I’m still happy to let him stay in goals for the next game at least unless JBA has different ideas.

Back to real fitba this weekend. If we can manage to get our first win here it could be a good day for us, position wise, depending of course, on results going our way. Regardless, picking up 3 points is always good. COYW!!!

Is it not Saturday yet? Not sure what JBA has put in the Motherwell water supply but I’m really looking forward to this one. Heading up to dens for the first time since our cup game just before Covid.

it’ll not be easy but if we play as we can we’ll win it.

Good interview as usual. He’s leaning towards more pragmatism now, and still putting his faith in the continually misfiring Stama.

He must see something in him somewhere that ,I'm not too sure about. To keep playing him and reject a supposed profitable offer on him.

I will go with the manager on this one for the now.

Be interesting to see our line up

Goalie? I think probably Ward

fullback? Will Johnny start

CB’s? Will new guy start? Gordon? O’Donnell?

midfield? Slattery back?

up front? Stama?

Slattery and McGhee will be out, as might McGinn and Hendry. I suspect TJ and Just might not start, given their international travels. A draw tomorrow with us again playing good football would send many, probably most fans home very happy indeed. Not me though. I want to see a win.

I think tomorrow will be a tough game and I think Dundee aren’t as bad as folk make out. Also they have one of the best forwards in the league who is murder to play against

add to the fact our best midfielder is out and our other best players have been travelling around the globe for a couple of weeks I’m now starting to feel less confident about our first win. I think I’ll be happy enough with a draw tbh.

If McGinn is indeed injured.......

                   Ward

SOD Gordon Welsh Longelo

 Watt Priestmann Fadinger

Said Stamatelopoulos RCC

I imagine Just & Maswanhise will feature from the bench.
