wellup83 Posted yesterday at 06:41 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 06:41 PM Anyone outside the big two winning a trophy is a victory for the rest of Scottish football. Well done St Mirren. Here's hoping we can keep up the good form and challenge for top 4.
joewarkfanclub Posted yesterday at 07:16 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:16 PM Some absolute miserable barstewards on here! Absolutely delighted that another diddy team has given one of the ugly sisters a bloody nose and won a trophy to break the monopoly. Its a victory for football and proves that such things ARE possible if the stars align. Yes, Id much rather it had been us, but Im not going to let that get in the way of something that really is a good news story. As for the hammer throwers tag? Did you watch the game? St Mirren are more direct than us and dont build the play like we do, but they still play some good stuff and I was throroughly entertained by them today, much in the same way I was entertained when Robbo got us to those 2 cup finals. Some of their fans may well also be insufferable, but loads of them are pretty decent spuds as well, maybe just not the ones that occupy social media. Id suggest maybe not interacting with those types. From a selfish point of view, it also heaps the pressure well and truly on to Nancy's shoulders and guess what, we play them in a couple weeks time!

Wonder if the Celtic board are nervous at giving him money to spend?
wellsince75
Well done Robbo and St Mirren - I didn't enjoy being knocked out the cup but always better to know those who did went on to win. Must give a nod to Robinson as thats both with us and StMirren he's been able to get clubs to cup finals + regularly got teams with low budget into top 6. If it wasn't for the absolutely snobbery of OF they could both of done much worse than look at him. Also pleasing to see OF not win a final, any club that get stop either of the OF winning deserves a huge amount of credit. Overall very pleased for them , they deserve their moment. PS Santa - I'd like MFC to have a similar moment soon
mfc
The old firm fans and there clubs in general have total contempt for the rest of scottish football so anytime they lose a game is a good thing but even more so a cup final, well done st mirren.
wellup83
Just on St Mirren and their line up. Why can we not unearth an Ayunga type forward? Surely we're shopping in the same market as them? And look at the trajectory of mandron since he left us. I'd take him back in a minute.
