The Kilmarnock X account makes for some glorious reading about Kettlewell.

”6 defeats in a row, no one else would get away with that. Sack him”

”Kettlewell out. A cheap appointment playing out as we all predicted. Utter dross from recruitment to tactics. Get him binned tonight”

“SK it’s time to go”

Bascially EVERYTHING that was being said by our fans over the last two years.

‘Some Motherwell fans really are deplorable human beings’ though eh???

We never make it easy for us. So you know whats going to happen.

We see out a 3 -1 victory and pick up a tidy 3 points.

I know people get upset when opposition teams start throwing everything at us when we go a goal or two ahead, but that's what every team should be doing. It's not easy to win a game, especially with so many teams pretty closely matched, and we expect our team to step up a gear and push hard when we're behind.

There's been a bit more progress now, and that's 3 out of 4 league games we've won (and drew the other). We just need to keep improving.

Just listened to King Billy Dodds giving his review of the game and it has no resemblance to anything I’ve just watched. Killie were outstanding in the 2nd half???
Apparently Maswanhise’s goal was a toe poke and goalie error, second goal “came from a corner” and a VAR penalty got us back in the game and saved us when Killie were the better side.

thanks Billy….. now fk off back to new Cumnock

Another one that would love to see this approach fail. It's no coincidence that the ex-players who dislike our style the most are the ones that used to struggle to make a pass.

Cant disagree. Strange to say the poorer we are the more chance of picking up wins.

What saves did Ward have in 2nd half? They are just deflecting to try and save their mate. Hopefully it works and Kettlewell keeps his job for abit longer as they are going backwards.

As others have said "Poor" on that surface is pretty normal for most teams. I find it hard to believe that Livi had to lay a new one because it didn't meet the standard, but the Killie one did.

I always point it out, but the biggest issue is that players almost always need to take an extra touch due to the weird bounces and uneven travel. That takes away any chance at fluid moves or good football, and makes it easier for the home team to close you down.

Embarrassing that we allow it in the top league.

A huge three points that. Our first win since the SF drubbing and with tough games against both Edinburgh clubs coming up this week. And to see a game out from a winning position. It wasn’t great and it wasn’t pretty and we’ve still got a lot to learn as a team but we managed to do it. Hopefully we take a confidence lift from that.

Just as well it was raining and pitch was soaking.
