I thought Slattery gave the ball away a lot today, but he was always available to take it again and never hid. Not his best day at the office, but he was in the same boat as a number of others. Fadinger for example started very poorly, although he came onto a game and put himself about a bit defensively.

I do agree though, Slattery isnt at the level he was at last season or at the start of this one.

It does look as if his fitness has gone back a little bit. Not sure if thats lack of game time or lifestyle choices.

Hopefully he can back to his early season levels as we go into the new year.

Disappointed not to win that but happy enough not to lose and preserve our unbeaten and clean sheet run.

Again that game highlights our weakness up front but we undoubtedly are more than decent elsewhere on the park.

Hopefully results like today and the other draws we’ve had won’t come back to haunt us but you’ve got to say we are in with a big shout of top six this season.

Not  a great result but not a bad one. It still keeps us in the hunt for a top 6 place. If we want to achieve that though we need to convert draws into wins and source a striker next month. Draws on the road are fine as long as you win the home games.

I'll stick my neck out and say that I'll be very surprised if we don't make top six. We're already 6 points ahead of Falkirk and 10 clear of United, I don't really see them or anyone else putting together a sort of run that would overhaul us.

We’ve proven that we can go toe to toe with any team in the league so we should certainly be aiming for top 6 and as high up as possible, not just 6th.

Yes, I think we will make it, but I've watched the Well for too many years now to take anything for granted.  We can't afford to rest on our laurels. Today proved that we are still blunt up top even though we are one of the league's top galscorers. We've drawn quite a few games in which we dominated possession buit couldn't put the ball in the net.

It’s a wee bit strange that we are high up the scoring ranks but yet have went 5 games in a row with a clean sheet and only won 2 of those games. Which obviously points to us needing more goals.

Shows how far we’ve come when we’re disappointed not to win at Tanndadice

On a wet & windy December afternoon  it was always going to be tough .

Teams are getting wise and negate us playing through them , they also know how to handle (man handle) Just who is an excellent player but it’s man v boy in physical sense.

I felt it was obvious from early on that we needed width which SOD won’t offer and JK limited on left . For me id have have Sparrow Longelo on , both are very effective .

Said and RCC both offer a bit of physicality, having them on much earlier would have improved things .

All that being said , 0-0 is decent . I can’t recall being close to Xmas and only losing 2 games .

This is where JBA earns his corn, like every other manager. John McGlynn and Jim Goodwin changed their game to negate us but in doing so sacrificed their own game, although the media won't say that. Its now up to JBA to tweak our own approach to counteract that. And, so it goes on...

Yes, it was a more cautious team selection and presumably JBA got it very slightly wrong.

What exactly happened at these games?

Ive not heard but i suspect its not using the multi ball system we have at Fir park and thd ball boys being instructed to take as much time as possible to return the ball, to stop us getting on eith the game quickly.

I was okay with the starting selection to begin with as he has earned the right to prove us all wrong. But it was fairly obvious from early in the second half that we needed fresh legs and more width to counteract what United were doing, so my only beef is that the subs should have come earlier.

We looked more of a threat when Longelo and Said came on.

Be nice to see them start on Saturday.

A friend texted me with an account of the Ball Boys incident. They were placing balls near the corner flags to stop us taking quick bykicks. JBA sent Tom Sparrow to move them in line with the 6 yard box. The Ball Boys then kept moving them back. Pathetic gamesmanship from Jim Goodwin. Thanks Ian.

Although I wasn't at the game nor at Falkirk, the referees should have stepped in and nipped this practice in the bud. Its downright cheating. This and "selective" watering of plastic pitches should be subject to a code of conduct issued by the authorities to stamp this kind of thing out. Its bringing the game into disrepute.

At their end the balls were beside the posts. Our end they were nearly at the corner flag. Also the ball boys were throwing the ball to them to take the set pieces quickly and lifting up the balls for us. Just a deliberate way of slowing the game down for us. Thought the multi ball on cones was meant to stop that crap
